PRESTORY: Last month at Survival of the Sickest, we witnessed an even more vicious side of Kana. Kana brutalized her archrival Gail Kim with three kicks to the head that knocked her back out of action and then avenged her first defeat by knocking Ayako Hamada out as well. Serena Deeb, who scored the only elimination for their team in that match, vowed to stand up for her fallen friends by challenging Kana to a one on one bout. Many questioned the move with Deeb's own history when she herself was injured shortly after her debut back in mid-2011 but Serena was confident and determined. Jessie McKay would accompany Deeb to the ring for her showdown with Kana that would take place at Eve of Destruction. Serena was focused and determined while Kana was poised to maintain her mean streak for what promised to be a memorable matchup.

AFTERSTORY: Serena did it! Against all odds with an inspirational performance, Serena put up a valiant fight against Kana and caught everyone by surprise by defeating Kana decisively! After Kana controlled the majority of the match, Serena mounted a major comeback and just kept coming. Serena threw everything she had and eventually connected with a superplex that left Kana dazed. As Kana slowly returned to her feet, Serena drilled her with one perfectly timed elbow right to the face that dropped Kana in a heap to the mat as the final blow. Serena followed up with a cover and scored one of her biggest victories to date! Jessie McKay, who cheered Serena on from ringside all match, was quick to pull Deeb from the ring to safety and they celebrated up the ramp with their hands held high while Kana began to recover in the ring in disbelief. Kana will likely remain deadset on revenge but Serena did exactly what she set out to do and avenged the beatings dished out to Gail and Hamada. And Serena & McKay along with Gail & Hamada couldn't be happier with the victory. What a feeling!

A shot that Aries felt he was owed since losing the title in a triple threat match at Cyber Saturday. Aries was unable to get the shot at Halloween Havoc and found himself fighting it out with the division at Survival of the Sickest. Now he was determined to shoot straight back to the top. Only the champion AJ Styles stood in his way. Now the two would face off in a blockbuster contest!

After the match, Alex Shelley & Dean Malenko rushed the ring to spoil AJ's celebration. Shelley and Malenko put the boots to Styles after an ambush from behind. Aries got back to his feet and joined them. The trio posed with their arms raised until Sin Cara came to the ring with Rey Mysterio. Aries, Shelley, and Malenko bailed as they checked on Styles in the ring. The junior division continues to heat up as all will be vying to beat the clock to earn the next shot at AJ's championship.

PRESTORY: The Guerrero Cup tag team tournament culminated with Power Warrior & Genichiro Tenryu emerging the victors. Their whirlwind year had found them at another shot at the tag team championships held by the Midnight Express. It would be their third shot after their first came from winning the Real World Tag League back in May and a rematch earned in September. The Midnights bested them twice and continued their dominant reign while it looked like P-Warrior & Tenryu's quest had finished. However now at the end of the year, they've battled back through everything for one more shot! The Midnight Express would have to prepare for another enormous challenge while the challengers geared up for a make or break situation. It all came down to this, a blockbuster tag team title defense in the main event of Eve of Destruction!

They had defeated practically everyone imaginable after coming out on top in a 64 team league and now a 32 team tournament that there is no doubt they earned and deserved this moment. After a close back and forth fight, it was Power Warrior's lariat that knocked Bobby Eaton silly and put him down for the count. The crowd erupted in cheers for the new champions. They couldn't ask for a better last two months after Power Warrior's unforgettable Survival of the Sickest comeback, the tag tournament win and now capturing the gold. After the match, the Road Warriors and others hit the ring to join the celebration, holding up the new champions who proudly raised their newly-won championships. The Midnights were out of it on the outside and now the first challengers will be determined via beat the clock for Final Showdown. Pyros exploded for the celebration of the new champions with the closing shot of Power Warrior & Tenryu posing with the gold. Hellraiser!

Rain was still completely fresh while all her opponents were worn down. Rain used it to her advantage and eliminated each one in one hell of a performance. Foley's team got the win and quickly left the scene. Foley defends the title against Necro at Eve of Destruction next month.

PRESTORY: Tensions mounted between enemies turned partners Jamilia Craft and Claudia after another loss last month at Halloween Havoc. The two were able to leave the arena that night without coming to blows but over the weeks that followed, the two continued to exchange words that caused arguments. The two agreed to settle their problems in the ring and agreed that once they got rid of their frustrations, they could refocus on their tag team relationship. Claudia had said she just had to know to make sure Craft still had it and called it a sort of test. The two would meet in a special attraction grudge match at Survival of the Sickest.
Jamilia Craft def. Claudia (11:04) after two consecutive belly to belly suplexes

It's definitely a huge statement made as they look towards another shot at the titles in the future. With the tournament and beat the clock on the horizon, they'll have multiple ways to earn a shot but this win here could provide them a shot in early 2013 should the Midnights hang on through the end of the year.

Pillman chose Hogan knowing his history with the Horsemen while Hogan himself suggested Cena, saying he saw a spark in him in their match at Cyber Saturday. Cena's no stranger to the Horsemen himself, having led a team to victory over them a year ago in the main event of Survival of the Sickest. Of course that was a different incarnation of the group and now Pillman was on Cena's side. The Horsemen have kept things interesting all year and now everything has led to this battleground.

Needless to say, the Horsemen have not been happy coming out of the event and they're already looking to come up with ways for retribution.

PRESTORY: One of the most anticipated bouts of the evening along with the Horsemen's battle, was the rematch from the Great American Bash's War Games taking place under elimination rules. The match was considered a real main event of the show as the two teams of four that have been going at it all year prepared for battle once more. Kana, Madison Eagles, Sara Del Rey, and Tomoka Nakagawa vs Gail Kim, Ayako Hamada, Serena Deeb, & Jessie McKay would happen at Survival of the Sickest!
Elimination 8 Woman Tag Team Match: Sara Del Rey, Kana, Madison Eagles, & Tomoka Nakagawa def. Gail Kim, Ayako Hamada, Serena Deeb, & Jessie McKay (31:20) 4 falls to 1

*Kana eliminated Hamada (26:29) via KO after a head kick CRITICAL

*Kana eliminated Deeb (30:25) via heel hook submission
*Kana eliminated McKay (31:20) via heel hook submission

Survivors: Kana, Sara Del Rey, Tomoka Nakagawa
AFTERSTORY: Kana is absolutely deadly. She came in with a specific gameplan and thatw as her aim was to once again take out her nemesis Gail Kim, who she injured back in September, and to take out Ayako Hamada, who handed Kana her first defeat at the Ultimate Encounter. Kana did both those things with vicious head kicks that knocked Gail and Hamada right out. Serena Deeb was able to get one huge elimination in on Eagles before also falling to Kana followed by McKay. The end result was Kana, Del Rey, Nakagawa, and Eagles leaving as the winners, much like they left War Games. Unhappy about the way Gail and Hamada went down, Serena has made the brave decision to challenge Kana to a singles match at Eve of Destruction.

PRESTORY: Despite two decisive victories for Stone Cold, CM Punk continued to claim that he could defeat Austin. Punk declared he would lead a team at Survival of the Sickest against an Austin-led team where if Punk's team won then he would get one more shot at the world title. Punk chose Sid and Chris Jericho for his team, two men that have history with Austin, especially Jericho. Punk promised a mystery final partner that he ended up revealing as Brock Lesnar. Austin's team would consist of himself and three former FPR World Champions - Triple H, the Rock, and the Undertaker. A lot on the line in the Survival of the Sickest finale!
