FPR Valentine's Massacre 2013
February 16, 2013
Theme Song: Evanescence - "My Heart is Broken"

PRESTORY:  After being unable to regain the tag team championships, Power Warrior and Genichiro Tenryu would face the other team in the mix lately, the Horsemen tandem of Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard. Arn & Tully have been trying to find their way into a title shot while Power Warrior & Tenryu have been fighting to remain at the top. Now the two teams would kick things off at Valentine's Massacre!
Power Warrior & Genichiro Tenryu def. Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard (23:09) when Power Warrior pinned Arn with the Blue Thunder bomb
AFTERSTORY:  Power Warrior & Tenryu bounce back with a much needed victory. Now they're in hopes of getting another title shot against whomever walks out of tonight as champions which remains to be seen.

PRESTORY: The ongoing rivalry between the Resistance and the high flyers of the junior division continues coming out of the Super J Cup. Tonight, Rey, Kidman, and Sin Cara join up with Super J Cup semi-finalist standout Justin Gabriel to go to battle against Aries, Shelley, Malenko, and Christopher Daniels!
8 Man Tag Team Match: Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman, Sin Cara, & Justin Gabriel def. Austin Aries, Alex Shelley, Dean Malenko, & Christopher Daniels (14:31) when Rey pinned Malenko with a magistral rollup
AFTERSTORY: Mysterio surprises Malenko with the pinfall as the rivalry continues. After the match ended, a frustrated Kurt Angle came to the ring and began tossing everyone in sight! Angle did not make it far in the Super J Cup as he had hoped and was looking to take out his anger. Kurt tossed Sin Cara with a german suplex and Daniels with a belly to belly over the top before drilling Kidman with the Angle Slam. Kurt went after Aries but he escaped the ring, yelling back a reminder that he pinned Angle in the end of the gauntlet match last month. Aries backed up the ramp with Shelley and Malenko while Angle stared from the ring as he will wait for his chance to get Aries back in the ring.

PRESTORY: A few months ago a rivalry kicked off at Final Showdown between Melanie Cruise and Sumie Sakai as they got into a fight among a chaotic brawl. They met in the ring last month where Sakai was victorious but Melanie was quick to demand a rematch, which was accepted to take place at Valentine's Massacre.
Melanie Cruise def. Sumie Sakai (16:32) after a low blow
AFTERSTORY:  After both gave it all they had, Cruise resorted to a last ditch effort to score the victory. After the match, Cruise picked Sakai back up and tossed her into the corner. The Beautiful People then came down, applauding Cruise for her victory as they cornered the hurting Sakai. Before they could make an ambush, Su Yung, Tracy Taylor, and Arisa Nakajima rushed down to the ring for the save! They caused the villains to retreat as it looks like we have an eight woman tag set up for WrestleMania!

Backstage, the always at odds odd couple tag team of Jamilia Craft and Claudia were seen discussing their downfall as a tag team ever since losing the tag team championships and being unable to regain them. They brought up possibly missing WrestleMania after challenging for the titles one year ago and putting on a showstealer with each other the year before that. Claudia suggested perhaps they should face each other one more time on the grand stage and then head their separate ways afterwards. Craft accepted the match proposal and it looks like we'll get Craft vs Claudia one more time at WrestleMania 8!

PRESTORY: One of the most impressive newcomers to FPR over the last few months has been Ivelisse Velez who has been racking up the wins lately. Now at Valentine's Massacre she would move further up the ladder and take on the always impressive Nevaeh, who has been striving to get back into title contention. It would sure to be a match to remember.
Nevaeh def. Ivelisse Velez (12:22) with a victory roll
AFTERSTORY: Nevaeh puts a stop to Ivelisse's win streak! Nevaeh proves she wouldn't be a stepping stone with a big win, leaving a frustrated Ivelisse pounding the mat in anger.

PRESTORY:  Another big match in the women's division would be between two more top contenders, former champion Athena and Rain who has been on a roll for the last few months. This would be another match with contendership implications along with WrestleMania implications..
Athena def. Rain (11:25) after a uranage
AFTERSTORY: Another impressive victory from Athena, who has vowed to get back to the top and reclaim the women's championship. This was certainly a step in the right direction of accomplishing that. Athena left the ring with her arm in the air and after the match, Ivelisse Velez returned to the ring. Rain slowly got to her feet holding her neck in pain as Ivelisse then offered her hand to Rain. Rain accepted her hand and Ivelisse raised Rain's arm up. The two then walked out together as seemingly a new duo.

International Champion, The Big Show came to the ring and declared that he had defeated everyone leaving no worthy challengers left for his title. Show was interrupted by Sheamus, who challenged him to a match at WrestleMania where he vowed to defeat the giant to become the new international champion! Big Show was not phased and accepted the challenge.

PRESTORY: Fighting junior champ AJ Styles was able to sit back and watch the Super J Cup determine his next championship challenger for WrestleMania. However, Styles chose not to just sit back as he wanted to stay active in the ring. As a result, Styles granted a non title match to impressive high flyer Kotaro Suzuki, who was unable to compete in the Super J Cup due to scheduling conflicts. Their match would take place at Valentine's Massacre!
Non Title Match: Kotaro Suzuki def. AJ Styles (10:42) after the Blue Destiny
AFTERSTORY:  The junior champ takes an upset loss! But it was not without controversy. It seems Styles' willingness to invite challengers worldwide to take him on as invoked intrigue as towards the end of the bout, Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Jimmy Yang came down to ringside. The arrival caused AJ to look in their direction, a distraction that lasted just long enough for Suzuki to wrap Styles up in his finisher. After the match ended, Kanemaru sent Yang into the ring. Yang looked to Suzuki and seemed to be motioning for him to join him in attacking the junior champion but instead, Suzuki sent Yang reeling with a clothesline right back over the top rope! Kanemaru helped Yang to his feet and they backed up the ramp. Interesting things heating up in the junior division!

PRESTORY: Bill Goldberg took everyone by storm when he won the Royal Battle last month, guaranteeing himself a shot at the FPR Worlds Heavyweight Championship. Stone Cold Steve Austin recently became the longest reigning World Champ in FPR history, a record that was prior held by Goldberg. Goldberg will meet Austin at 'Mania but he did not want to sit and wait, he wanted to remain active with a tune-up match at Valentine's Massacre. Goldberg offered a challenge to anyone to accept and get in the ring with him. The challenge was accepted by Shawn Michaels, who was looking for another shot to stay in the title picture..
Biil Goldberg def. Shawn Michaels (8:05) with the Jackhammer
AFTERSTORY: Goldberg made quick work of Shawn, flattening him with the Jackhammer. Goldberg decided to stay at ringside following the match, knowing that Stone Cold would be competing next..

PRESTORY: After hearing Goldberg's plan to compete, Stone Cold Steve Austin promised to show up his number one contender challenger after not competing at the Royal Battle. Austin's been unstoppable for the past year and would now wrestle a non-title match against Bret "Hitman" Hart. Bret was originally scheduled to be a part of the Royal Battle but was unable to make it and would then get a chance to face the champion in a non title match. Austin vs Hart with Goldberg at ringside promised to be a heated contest!
Non Title Match: Bret Hart def. Stone Cold Steve Austin (14:33) after a piledriver
AFTERSTORY: Shocking upset! No other way to put it seeing Stone Cold Steve Austin finally defeated, albeit not for the world championship. Perhaps Goldberg got into Austin's head with mind games by being at ringside. Regardless, we now know for sure that Bret Hart cemented his name as a future title challenger with a truly remarkable performance in his first FPR bout in some time. Goldberg left ringside with a smirk as Austin sat bleeding in disbelief in the ring. There's no doubt that Bret will have his eyes locked on the WrestleMania showdown for the title.
PRESTORY: Mercedes Martinez and Angel Blue have been having one of the great rivalries of FPR over the last several months. They've traded wins back and forth and can't seem to put their grudge to rest. At Valentine's Massacre the two would pick their own partners to compete in a tag team match!
Mercedes Martinez & Jessica James def. Angel Blue & Angelina Love (24:08) when Mercedes pinned Angel after a back suplex
AFTERSTORY: After a hard fought bout, Mercedes was able to pin Angel one more time. But things would not end there as once Angel was back to her feet she attacked Mercedes. Mercedes battled back as the two brawled all over the ring. Officials came down to separate the two and put an end to the fight. FPR management has since announced that Mercedes Martinez and Angel Blue will meet one last time at WrestleMania in the first ever Last Woman Standing match!

PRESTORY: The hardcore deathmatch championship picture has been as chaotic as ever lately. Abdullah the Butcher having recently regained the title from Necro Butcher and would wind up in post-match brawls constantly. Tonight it was Mick Foley's shot at the title, that he's been waiting for ever since losing the title back in October.
Hardcore Deathmatch Championship Match: Abdullah the Butcher def. Mick Foley (14:58) with the running elbow drop to RETAIN the championship!
AFTERSTORY: Abdullah was able to overcome Foley in a hellacious battle filled with blood and weapons. After the battle, Necro Butcher made his way out to the ring and decides he's not done yet as he attacked both men in the ring. This time, Raven's Flock began making their way down from the rafters and towards the ring. Raven entered the ring with W*NG Kanemura and Perry Saturn and it was an all-out war in the ring! The Hardcore Deathmatch scene is chaos heading into WrestleMania 8!

PRESTORY:  The 2013 Super J Cup was wild and unpredictable. With several wildcards, none of the favorites to win made it very far. In the end it came down to the roads of two men, Petey Williams who was battling for another shot at the Junior Title after coming so close against AJ Styles at Final Showdown. And Robert Evans who managed to catch everyone by surprise by racking up win after win en route to the finals. Now it'd be Evans vs Williams for the Super J Cup Crown with the winner advancing to a title shot at WrestleMania!
Super J Cup Finals: Robert Evans def. Petey Williams (14:15) with a northern lights suplex
AFTERSTORY: Robert Evans has done it! Coming from out of nowhere all the way to the top, Evans captured the crown in a hard fought battle. Evans will now face AJ Styles for the Junior Championship at WrestleMania. The two do have some history dating back a few years back and now they will meet on the grand stage. Also of note is that Kanemaru & Yang were once again spotted watching the match from the stage, though this time they did not get involved.

PRESTORY: Madison Eagles and Kana have been on a tear trying to become women's tag team champions as of late. They earned their first shot at Final Showdown but were defeated in what many called an upset. Now last month they won a number one contenders match to once again earn a shot at the titles. Marti Belle and Jazz have more than proven their worth as champions and would take on the supremely tough task once again.
Women's Tag Team Championships Match: Marti Belle & Jazz def. Madison Eagles & Kana (24:32) when Marti pinned Kana after an elbow to RETAIN the championships!
AFTERSTORY: Against the odds, Belle and Jazz remain the champions! They have overcome the challenge of Eagles and Kana once again. After the match, the challengers were quick to go after the champions but not quick enough as Marti Belle escaped the ring with Jazz, holding their championships up high. Eagles and Kana were still furious over their second loss and took their frustrations out at ringside, throwing everything they could find. Until suddenly out came the returning from injury Gail Kim & Ayako Hamada! Both had been on the shelf since November due to Kana's vicious attacks and now they were looking for retribution. Gail and Hamada went right for Kana and Eagles igniting a wild brawl. The two teams brawled all the way to the back and there is no a doubt a grudge there. The tag team grudge match will take place at WrestleMania!
PRESTORY: Last month, Daizee Haze finally accomplished her longterm goal of capturing the women's championship. Daizee's second Queen's Cup tournament win translated into championship gold. Defeating the record 1 time champion Victoria was no easy task. And now Victoria was back for her rematch looking to put an early stop to Haze's first reign as champion.
Women's Championship Match: Daizee Haze def. Victoria (15:36) via rollthrough to RETAIN the championship!
AFTERSTORY: Haze keeps on rolling! Once again despite a very close bout, Daizee was able to pin Victoria and keep hold of the women's championship. Daizee left with the championship held high while Victoria is furious that she will not be competing for the championship at WrestleMania.

PRESTORY: The Midnight Express have spent the last few months making life miserable for Power Warrior and Genichiro Tenryu, ruining what should've been a spectacular title reign for them. They've been on the warpath since losing the gold and aimed to get them back as soon as possible. Last month they beat Arn and Tully to earn the shot at current titleholders Hulk Hogan & John Cena. Hogan and Cena have proven to be quite the combination and now would be arguably their toughest test against one of the most dominant tag teams in FPR History.
World Tag Team Championships Match: Hulk Hogan & John Cena def. The Midnight Express (30:29) when Hogan pinned Eaton to RETAIN the championships!
AFTERSTORY: What a battle! It went back and forth with the Midnights using every trick they've ever tried before in attempts to win back the gold but it was not to be. The combined powers of Hulk and Cena were too much for even the Midnights to overcome. Just when it looked like the Midnight Express could finish things, Hogan hulked up and flattened Bobby Eaton for the win prompting a championship celebration. Now, Hogan & Cena carry the championships into WrestleMania 8 but it remains to be seen who they will defend against with the unpredictable tag team scene as of late.

PRESTORY: The Valentine's Massacre main event would be a blockbuster eight man tag comprised of many of FPR's headliners, several of whom were apart of the Royal Battle match last month. The two teams of four would see The Rock, Triple H, Brian Pillman, and The Undertaker do battle with Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, and the Horsemen's Barry Windham & Jeff Jarrett. The match would without a doubt being a roller coaster ride on the road to WrestleMania!

These are 10 entrants in the Super J Cup which will take place in February and culminate at Valentine's Masscre with the winner earning a shot at Junior Champ AJ Styles at WrestleMania. A year ago Styles won the tournament and now he'll be defending against the winner assuming he is still champion heading into the big event.

The brawl would lead to a match that would take place at the Royal Battle!
Sumie Sakai def. Melanie Cruise (13:17) with a northern lights suplex
AFTERSTORY: Sakai picks up the big victory over her larger opponent leaving Cruise in a rage. Sakai left happy with her arms raised but Cruise is already demanding a rematch.

PRESTORY: Another match coming out of the chaos from last month is Jessica James vs Beautiful People leader Madison Rayne. Rayne laid out Jessica en route to the West Coast Connection making the save. Now Jessica and Madison would meet in a match where others from that brawl would surround the ring in a lumberjack match!
Lumberjack Match: Madison Rayne def. Jessica James (22:10) with a victory roll

Meanwhile it's been announced that Nevaeh will meet Ivelisse Velez at Valentine's Massacre in what promise to be a memorable matchup and a major one for both.

PRESTORY: Last month's Final Showdown had major controversy surrounding the tag team championship picture. Both the Midnight Express and Arn & Tully wanted to get involved but it was the Midnights that caused the shocking title change, putting an abrupt end to a feel good moment. Arn & Tully weren't happy that their initial plan was thwarted and it was decided that the two teams would face each other at the Royal Battle.
The Midnight Express def. Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard (23:18) when Lane used a single leg crab on Arn.
AFTERSTORY:
The Midnights bounce back with a major win despite being on the verge of defeat. Arn and Tully thought they had things going their way but the Express pulled out the victory in their usual fashion. The Midnights win gains them contendership as they seek the rematch they have been waiting for.

PRESTORY: Following one of their biggest wins as a tag team at Final Showdown, women's tag champs Marti Belle & Jazz knew their next challenge would be decided tonight but they wanted to stay active and defend their championships. A bold, risky move it would be as they would defend the championships against former champs that beat them before Trish Stratus & Lita. The champs felt Trish & Lita still deserved a rematch since they weren't able to get one after Belle & Jazz regained the gold at Halloween Havoc.

Foley will get his rematch now against Abdullah at next month's Valentine's Massacre. The Flock were once again seen from the balcony area watching the post-match ongoings.

PRESTORY: At Final Showdown, one of FPR's hottest rivalries between Mercedes Martinez & Angel Blue put on one of the best two out of three falls matches in FPR history. Without a doubt a match that will go down in history as a memorable one and a highlight of their feud. They both proved they can pin the other but the rivalry is far from finished. Mercedes wanted another piece of Angel after the defeat and insisted on their next encounter being an I Quit match! This time the two would have to force the other into submission to come out on top and it would be another can't miss event.
I Quit Match: Mercedes Martinez def. Angel Blue (24:28) via STF submission
AFTERSTORY:
Another spectacular war between these two! Mercedes gets revenge forcing a bloodied Angel Blue to submit in an STF submission. Both gave it everything they had and went at it back and forth. Mercedes busted Angel open early on but she kept fighting. In the end, Mercedes was able to put her away and walk away with the victory leaving Blue down on the mat. These two have one hell of a grudge and they just won't let it go. They will be choosing partners to meet again in a tag team match next month at Valentine's Massacre!

PRESTORY: Last month Madison Eagles & Kana beat the clock but were not able to beat the women's tag team champions. They had been irate ever since the loss and have vowed to get another shot and win the titles. They would get their chance to become #1 contenders once again in a match against longtime rivals Serena Deeb & Jessie McKay! Deeb & McKay saw this as their own opportunity to become champions if they could overcome the tough challenge. Either way, the champs are in for a fight with whoever they defend against next.

PRESTORY: Victoria has been dominant in her record eleventh reign as womens' champion. Equally as dominant has been Daizee Haze who has been nearly unstoppable since winning her second Queen's Cup back in September. Women's Championship Match: Daizee Haze def. Victoria (14:04) after a jumping facebuster to become the NEW Champion!!
AFTERSTORY:
Daizee has done it! After a long road to the championship, Daizee Haze finally succeeded and ended the impressive 11th reign of Victoria. All of Daizee's battles over the last several months paid off huge in the end. Now it will be Victoria on the warpath for a rematch as she will look to capture her twelfth women's championship. But for now Daizee will enjoy her newly won championship and she celebrated her victory around the ringside fans.

PRESTORY: Final Showdown had the tag team championships surrounded by controversy thanks to the Midnight Express and the Horsemen leading to Power Warrior & Genichiro Tenryu shockingly losing the titles just one week after capturing their year-long goal. Hulk Hogan & John Cena became the new champions that night, a newer team that formed based off mutual respect only a month before. Now, Power Warrior & Genichiro Tenryu would get their rematch in hopes of recapturing the gold.
World Tag Team Championships Match: Hulk Hogan & John Cena def. Power Warrior & Genichiro Tenryu (18:42) when Hogan pinned Power Warrior to RETAIN the championships!
AFTERSTORY: The Midnight Express just couldn't stay away as they once again decided to get involved. Despite having a guaranteed shot at the titles next month, it looks as though the Midnights would rather take their chances on the impressive new champions rather than the team that bested them once before. Regardless of how it happened, Hogan & Cena managed to hang on to the championships and now will have an equally as big test in front of them when they defend against the #1 contenders, former champs the Midnight Express at Valentine's Massacre.

PRESTORY: The main event would be the annual 8 man Royal Battle which would determine who faces Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania VIII. The participants this year would be recent rivals Brock Lesnar and Triple H who have both been impressive lately. Brock's been on a tear since his sudden jump into the picture in November while HHH is a former world champion and a former WrestleMania headliner himself. Brian Pillman would enter the Rumble in hopes of gaining one more shot at the title after failing to complete his money in the bank cash in. Pilman's arch rival, Barry Windham would represent the Horsemen as he looks to capture the gold for the Horsemen. Former longest reigning world champion of all time Bill Goldberg enters the Rumble looking to face the man who snapped his record. First ever FPR World Champ Shawn Michaels enters looking to reclaim glory. And lastly, Stone Cold's recent rival CM Punk would fill out the battle. Despite losing twice to Austin, Punk continues to believe he can defeat him and looks to use the Royal Battle to do just that. Eight men but only one winner can go on to face the world champion at WrestleMania 8!

*Rock eliminated Pillman (21:39)
*Rock eliminated Windham (26:43)
*Goldberg eliminated Rock (34:43)
AFTERSTORY:
Bill Goldberg is going to WrestleMania! Despite a very impressive showing from Brian Pillman, a superhuman performance from the Rock and Windham's cunning towards the end, Goldberg managed to hang on until the very end. After Lesnar's shocking elimination, he went after Triple H again backstage who was recovering and ended up in a brawl with the Undertaker! Pillman was riding high after having eliminated Brock but Rock was able to put him down and then Windham as well. Goldberg proved his determination to take down the man who surpassed him as the longest reigning FPR World Champion of all time. It will be interesting to see what lies ahead for all the participants, especially the Rock who came as close as one can get. But now we know it will be Austin vs Goldberg at WrestleMania VIII!

©FPR Royal Battle 2013. FPR's next PPV event will be Valentine's Masscare in mid-February and will feature the Super J Cup Finals, Hogan & Cena vs The Midnights, Victoria vs Daizee and much more!
