Candice hinted at wishing to return to the ring which excited many. Known during her championship runs as the Best in the World, the thought of Candice returning to the ring was intriguing. However, Madison Eagles was not too pleased at the news considering she had the distinction of retiring Candice. In the months that followed, Candice announced her intention to return with her eyes on the championship. Later on in the night as Candice was leaving the arena, she was approached by Jessie McKay. McKay asked Candice to stick around for one more match - against her next month.
