PRESTORY: Last month at Bloodlines, several rivalries crossed over into one another. It all began when Jessie McKay upset Sara Del Rey in stunning fashion. Del Rey snapped afterwards and was looking to take out her frustrations on everything and everyone. Later in the night, Serena Deeb and Ayako Hamada went one on one in a match based on mutual respect after they had been involved in a triple threat match with Del Rey at Redemption. Hamada was victorious and after the bout, shook hands with Serena until they were ambushed from behind by Sara Del Rey. Del Rey attacked both until Jessie McKay returned to chase her off. McKay helped Hamada and Serena back to their feet as Sara retreated up the ramp. Bloodlines also saw the continuation of a months-long rivalry between Kana and Gail Kim. Kana debuted back in February with an assault on Gail. The attack has led to a series of matches that has seen Kana constantly get the better of Gail and included Bloodlines in a submissions match. After the bout had ended, Sara Del Rey returned to the ring and began beating down Gail on the mat. Kana watched on before deciding to join in on the beatdown of Gail. The attack prompted Jessie McKay, Hamada, and Serena to come back to the ring and save Gail. Del Rey and Kana left the scene while Gail was helped from the ring. The main event that night saw the women's championship on the line as Athena successfully defended her title against Madison Eagles. Following the match, Eagles left the ring and headed up the ramp where she was met by Sara Del Rey and Kana. Words were exchanged and the three ended up leaving together as a unit. Following all the events that transpired that night, it was decided that the 2012 Great American Bash would see the first ever women's War Games match! One team would consist of Gail Kim, Ayako Hamada, Serena Deeb, and Jessie McKay while their opponents, the trio of Madison Eagles, Kana, and Sara Del Rey, would be allowed to select a fourth partner to enter the steel cage. In the end it was Nakagawa tying Deeb in the ropes with an octopus hold against the steel cage to put an end to the bout. The foursome left the cage as the winners as their opponents tried to recover. It is expected that these four haven't seen the last of each other as we have already learned Sara Del Rey, feeling confident, has demanded a rematch with Jessie McKay for Final Burns. The Great American Bash will be one to be remembered for sure as the show came to a close with Eagles, Kana, Del Rey, and Nakagawa with their arms raised on the stage.
