Rain and Lexxus proved to be quite the duo when they joined together
late last year after both made their respective debuts in the Queen's
Cup tournament. After forming, they quickly captured the women's tag
team championships in an upset victory over the Canadian Ninjas. Rain
and Lexxus enjoyed a solid run as champions until former champs Marti
Belle and Jazz returned to the spotlight and defeated them for the
belts. After losing their rematch, tension mounted and the friction
between the two grew during a post-match argument. When things settled
down, Rain and Lexxus agreed to face off against one another in a

officials were able to force him off.

Last month at Bloodlines, Nevaeh defeated Victoria in a very impressive
performance. Nevaeh's victory over the multi-time champion had
management looking to her as a top contender for the women's
championship. Later that night, women's champion Athena would
successfully defend her title against Madsion Eagles. After the match
however, Madison Rayne made her return to FPR, after not being seen
since WrestleMania, with a surprise attack on Athena. Rayne laid out the
champion and the closing image that night was of the leader of the
Beautiful People holding the championship high. After what transpired,
it was decided that Athena would defend in a triple threat match against

another shot at the title. The Beautiful People celebrated up the ramp
with the Killer Queen as the new FPR Women's Champion.
PRESTORY:
Prince Devitt emerged victorious from his series of battles with Ultimo
Dragon over the junior championship. Devitt has been on quite the
winning streak and now at the Great American Bash, he would defend his
championship against the only man that has beat him thus far. AJ Styles
defeated Devitt in the finals of the Super J Cup back in February.
Styles would go on to be unsuccessful in his bid for the title which
Devitt then picked up afterwards. Now, Styles gets a shot at the title
while Devitt has a chance to avenge his only defeat.
Junior Championship Match: Prince Devitt def. AJ Styles (13:46) after a rolling inferno kick to RETAIN the championship!

have the others moves scouted throughout the early portion of the match.

match, the two went face to face and then shook hands to an applause
from the crowd. Devitt will now go on to defend his title against Austin
Aries at Final Burns!
PRESTORY:
Last month at Bloodlines, several rivalries crossed over into one
another. It all began when Jessie McKay upset Sara Del Rey in stunning
fashion. Del Rey snapped afterwards and was looking to take out her
frustrations on everything and everyone. Later in the night, Serena Deeb
and Ayako Hamada went one on one in a match based on mutual respect
after they had been involved in a triple threat match with Del Rey at
Redemption. Hamada was victorious and after the bout, shook hands with
Serena until they were ambushed from behind by Sara Del Rey. Del Rey
attacked both until Jessie McKay returned to chase her off. McKay helped
Hamada and Serena back to their feet as Sara retreated up the ramp.
Bloodlines also saw the continuation of a months-long rivalry between
Kana and Gail Kim. Kana debuted back in February with an assault on
Gail. The attack has led to a series of matches that has seen Kana
constantly get the better of Gail and included Bloodlines in a
submissions match. After the bout had ended, Sara Del Rey returned to
the ring and began beating down Gail on the mat. Kana watched on before
deciding to join in on the beatdown of Gail. The attack prompted Jessie
McKay, Hamada, and Serena to come back to the ring and save Gail. Del
Rey and Kana left the scene while Gail was helped from the ring. The
main event that night saw the women's championship on the line as Athena
successfully defended her title against Madison Eagles. Following the
match, Eagles left the ring and headed up the ramp where she was met by
Sara Del Rey and Kana. Words were exchanged and the three ended up
leaving together as a unit. Following all the events that transpired
that night, it was decided that the 2012 Great American Bash would see
the first ever women's War Games match! One team would consist of Gail
Kim, Ayako Hamada, Serena Deeb, and Jessie McKay while their opponents,
the trio of Madison Eagles, Kana, and Sara Del Rey, would be allowed to
select a fourth partner to enter the steel cage. In the weeks leading up
to the Bash, they revealed their fourth teammate would be the debuting
Tomoka Nakagawa! The teams were set and the Great American Bash would be
headlined by rivalries coming together for a very heated, explosive
main event inside War Games!
War
Games: Madison Eagles, Kana, Sara Del Rey, & Tomoka Nakagawa def.
Gail Kim, Ayako Hamada, Serena Deeb, & Jessie McKay (17:50) when
Nakagawa forced Serena to submit
AFTERSTORY:
What a debut for Tomoka Nakagawa inside of War Games as she forces
Serena Deeb to pass out en route to her team's victory. The match was a
true spectacle to behold as all eight women went at it like never
before. Everyone involved gave their all to try and secure the victory.
In the end it was Nakagawa tying Deeb in the ropes with an octopus hold
against the steel cage to put an end to the bout. The foursome left the
cage as the winners as their opponents tried to recover. It is expected
that these four haven't seen the last of each other as we have already
learned Sara Del Rey, feeling confident, has demanded a rematch with
Jessie McKay for Final Burns. The Great American Bash will be one to be
remembered for sure as the show came to a close with Eagles, Kana, Del
Rey, and Nakagawa with their arms raised on the stage.
©FPR The
