The Road Warriors def. Hiroshi Hase & Akira Nogami (16:49) when Hawk pinned Nogami with a powerbomb
The Rhodes Brothers def. The Briscoes (22:24) when Goldust pinned Jay after an implant DDT
The Midnight Express def. Chavo Guerrero Jr. & Hernandez (24:37) when Lane pinned Chavo

PRESTORY: The Guerrero Cup tag team tournament came down to two teams, The Road Warriors and the Midnight Express. It would be a battle of a team who has been with FPR for many years but never been able to capture the tag team championships against one of the most dominant teams in FPR history who were the favorites to win going into the tournament. The winners of the match would receive a shot at the tag team titles against Cesaro & Swagger later in the night!

Guerrero Cup Finals: The Road Warriors def. The Midnight Express (19:09) when Animal pinned Lane after a powerslam
AFTERSTORY: Huge win for the Road Warriors, putting a stop to the Midnight Express hopes of making it back to the top. Now the Road Warriors will face the ever dominant tag team champions for the titles later at Day of Destruction!

PRESTORY: At Survival of the Sickest, two teams of four women made history with a sixty minute time limit draw. They gave it all they had but couldn't come to a conclusion. As a result of the inconclusive finish, a rematch was immediately signed and the women involved couldn't wait!

[b] Elimination 8 Woman Tag Team Match: Meiko Satomura, Arisa Nakajima, Sumie Sakai, & Hiroyo Matsumoto def. Madison Eagles, Kana, Tomoka Nakagawa, & Allysin Kay (38:52) 4 falls to 3
*Eagles eliminated Matsumoto (25:47) via grounded full nelson submission
*Satomura eliminated Eagles (28:13) via Scorpio Rising CRITICAL
*Kana eliminated Satomura (30:00) via armbar submission
*Arisa eliminated Kay (35:09) with a top rope splash
*Arisa eliminated Kana (36:34) via stretch plum submission
*Nakagawa eliminated Arisa (38:18) via octopus hold submission
*Sakai eliminated Nakagawa (38:52) via liplock submission

AFTERSTORY: What a match once again! The women were out with determination to defeat the opposing team and they just kept going back and forth with eliminations. In the end it all came down to Sumie Sakai and Tomoka Nakagawa with Sakai surprising Nakagawa with a kiss to win the match for her team! It was a huge victory for Sumie and her team to put a definitive finish on this bout.

Gauntlet Match: The Big Show vs Nexus
*Show def. David Otunga (9:31) via abdominal stretch submission
*Show def. Justin Gabriel (10:25) after a lariat
*Show def. Curtis Axel (7:28) via Chokeslam CRITICAL
*Show def. Wade Barrett (9:36) via Chokeslam CRITICAL
Big Show then declared he destroyed the Nexus and challenged Triple H to defend the International Title against him right then.
*Show def. Triple H (10:38) to win the International Championship
Immediately afterwards, Nexus sent Ryback to challenge Big Show to no avail.
*Show choked out Ryback (9:23) to retain.

Octagon Championship Match: Bob Sapp def. Kevin Randleman via 2nd Round KO (punches) at 0:10 of round 2 to RETAIN the championship.

PRESTORY: At Survival of the Sickest, Nevaeh scored an impressive elimination over Melanie Cruise. Despite Cruise's team coming back to win, the elimination did not set well with her and she challenged Nevaeh to a one on one match that would take place here.

AFTERSTORY: Another great match that sees Cruise end up taking down Nevaeh this time. Nevaeh gave it her all and almost had Cruise out several times but Cruise battled back and used her strength to overpower Nevaeh in the end.

PRESTORY: Despite his impressive performance in the Cyber Saturday cruiserweight battle royal, Sean Waltman was disappointed in the loss. At Halloween Havoc, Waltman suffered another loss to Chris Sabin and at Survival of the Sickest, even after bringing in some big gun tag partners, Waltman saw his entire team wiped out. As a result of Waltman's frustrations, he vowed to defeat Chris Sabin or leave FPR and the match was set!

Loser Leaves Town Match: Chris Sabin def. Sean Waltman (9:56) after a leg lariat
AFTERSTORY: One last tough loss for Waltman as he was just not able to defeat Sabin. Waltman received an ovation upon his exit and his memorable performances these last few months will not be forgotten.

PRESTORY: After months of teases and a battle in Survival of the Sickest, Ayako Hamada and Mayumi Ozaki would finally meet one on one at Eve of Destruction!

PRESTORY: Ivelisse Velez made a surprising turn when she joined Hamada's team at Survival of the Sickest as the last member despite their past rivalry. In the end though, Mariko Yoshida came through for Mayumi Ozaki's opposing team and took out Ivelisse in the end. Velez wanted another shot to prove herself and challenged Yoshida to a one on one battle!

PRESTORY: Toru Owashi won the Chamber of Horrors back at Halloween Havoc to earn another shot at the Hardcore Deathmatch championship. That same night, Ric Flair regained the title from Mick Foley so now Owashi would have Flair in the deathmatch ring once again. Owashi had promised to win the title and take it back to the Flock but Flair has been more determined than ever to keep it with him in the Horsemen.

Hardcore Deathmatch Championship Match: Ric Flair def. Toru Owashi (9:23) after a delayed vertical suplex to RETAIN the championship!
AFTERSTORY: And Flair again finds a way to win! Flair escapes with the gold while Owashi left the ring with his head down and a clearly disappointed Raven watched along with the rest of the Flock.

PRESTORY: Rey Mysterio proved deserving when he retained the junior championship in a four way challenge among the top contenders. After the stellar final two in the match between Rey and Yoshinobu Kanemaru, it was agreed upon that Kanemaru had earned the next shot at Rey in a singles match which would take place tonight!

Junior Championship Match: Yoshinobu Kanemaru def. Rey Mysterio (14:22) after the brainbuster to become the NEW Champion!!
AFTERSTORY: Another great match but this time Kanemaru comes out on top! Kanemaru regains the championship that he lost back at Cyber Saturday. The junior title and division has been a roller coaster since then and now Kanemaru finds himself back on top of the mountain. Things are not yet settled here as Mysterio will be in line for a rematch.

World Tag Team Championships Match: Antonio Cesaro & Jack Swagger def. The Road Warriors (18:03) when Swagger pinned Hawk with a rollup to RETAIN the championships!
STORY: Despite the big tournament victory, the Road Warriors were not able to capture the elusive tag team championships. The ever dominant champions prevailed once again with an impressive victory over the legendary challengers. Swagger & Cesaro now look ahead to their next challenge as they remain the kingpins of the tag team division since forming last summer.

PRESTORY: Due to Jessie McKay's impressive performance at Survival of the Sickest, Daizee Haze deemed her the deserving number one contender and felt she had earned a shot at her title. McKay was elated for the opportunity and she would get her shot against Daizee on this night!

Women's Championship Match: Daizee Haze def. Jessie McKay (8:21) after a snap suplex to RETAIN the championship!
AFTERSTORY: A fast paced back and forth match sees Daizee come out on top and keep hold of her championship. After the match, the two shook hands and hugged in a show of mutual respect. McKay was impressive again and proved deserving of her status as she will remain in top contention for the title. Afterwards, Victoria came to the stage and reminded Haze of her Queen's Cup victory back in September and let it be known that she is coming for the title. Victoria has held the women's championship more times than anyone and has had her share of battles with Daizee and now it looks like they will be set to meet again soon.

PRESTORY: Austin Aries was a real MVP of Survival of the Sickest and he took things further than anyone could've expected when he pinned FPR World Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin for the very first elimination in the unforgettable main event. Aries pin earned him an immediate shot at the title which would headline the Eve of Destruction!

Traditionally, Final Showdown featured the championship bouts that resulted from the Beat the Clock challenges but things were switched up this year with touring schedules and instead, Final Showdown featured the actual Beat the Clock challenge while the matches it led to took place on the New Beginnings tour that followed the show. This show set the stage for the New Begninings Tour which would feature the Beat the Clock winners getting their respective title shots. Some of the most noteworthy happenings include the incredibly impressive victory from Sumie Sakai and Meiko Satomura who proved how much they wanted a shot at the titles, Suicide catching everyone offguard in his match with Chris Sabin, Mil & Dos coming out of nowhere to earn the tag title shot, Kong with her eyes set on Haze, and of course John Cena taking down the Rock and looking to rise back to the very top once again.

STORY: Eagles & Kana bounce back from the beat the clock loss with a narrow victory over Matsumoto & Nakajima. The battles these women have been involved in along with the others from the Survival tags have been memorable without a doubt.

World Tag Team Championships Match: Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro def. Mil Mascaras & Dos Caras (28:48) when Cesaro pinned Caras with a sitout powerbomb to RETAIN the championships
STORY: Mil & Dos really took it to the champs here and came very close to victory! But in the end it was not to be as the champions came out on top. Mil & Dos proved to be an unexpected challenge that Swagger & Cesaro were maybe not fully prepared for. However they were able to hold on to their titles and continue their excellent run on top.

Hardcore Deathmatch Championship Match: Ric Flair def. Bully Ray (12:17) with a small package to RETAIN the championship!
STORY: Surprise, Flair does it again! Perhaps even more of a shocker than some of the previous victories as many pegged Bully Ray to dominate here following his performance in Beat the Clock. But Flair came prepared and used every trick he had to outsmart and outmaneuver the Bully en route to retaining his championship once again. Flair and the Horsemen are riding high!

Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Trish Stratus & Lita def. Sumie Sakai & Meiko Satomura (22:44) when Lita pinned Satomura with the Litasault to RETAIN the championships!
STORY:
Despite Sumie & Meiko's determination and best efforts, they were unable to win the gold after an impressive outing from the champions. Lita & Trish proved they are here to stay this time around after a short reign as champions in 2012. Now they seem stronger than ever and are prepared to remain champions.

Junior Championship Match: Yoshinobu Kanemaru def. Suicide (11:34) after the spinning brainbuster to RETAIN the championship!
STORY:
Yoshinobu Kanemaru makes his first defense in his second reign as champion overcoming the mysterious Suicide. Suicide had heads turning in the beat the clock challenge but Kanemaru seemed to have him scouted and was able to keep hold of the junior title.

Women's Championship Match: Daizee Haze def. Amazing Kong (15:11) after a lariat to RETAIN the championship!
STORY: What a challenge and what a champion! It looked early on like a sure thing that we were in for a new champion as Amazing Kong battered the champion but Daizee battled back and her resilency shined through. Kong kept coming closer with big bombs but Daizee came back stronger each time and was finally able to take Kong down and keep her down for the three. Daizee remains champion and has been a truly great champion. Now she will be on her way to facing the 11 time champion Victoria at the Royal Battle!
