FPR Eve of Destruction
December 23, 2010
Theme Song: Capital Lights - "Out of Control"

PRESTORY: With the way the Junior title picture's Survival of the Sickest match ended up last month, Ultimo Dragon had pinned the champion Rey Mysterio, while AJ Styles would go on to become the sole survivor. Unable to choose between which of the two deserved the title shot more, a match was signed for both men to compete against one another, with the victor going on to receive a junior championship later this night against Rey Mysterio.
Ultimo Dragon AJ Styles (8:45) with a dragon suplex
AFTERSTORY: Julian Caesaro arrived to cause a distraction for AJ which led to the finish of the match. AJ saw his rival and immediately took his eyes off of Ultimo, who was then able to catch him from behind with a dragon suplex. Ultimo will now receive another shot at Rey Mysterio's junior title, while AJ and Caesaro look to be on a collision course heading towards Final Showdown!

PRESTORY: The sixth annual Guerrero Cup was another exciting tag team tournament and the finals would eventually come down to two teams. The Miracle Violence Connection and The Dark Circle. Doc & Gordy have received title shots in the past but never have been able to capture the gold while the Dark Circle have come close time and time again to getting a shot but never quite getting it. Apoc and Storm were impressive in the tournament with victories over the Kings of Wrestling, Generation sXe, last year's winners Team 3D, and a semi-final win over the equally as impressive, Legacy. On the other side, Miracle-Violence overcame the Horsemen, the Colossal Kongs, Motor City Machine Guns, and a close semi-final win over dominant new tandem, MVP & Mark Henry. Now the two teams would meet in the finals with the winner taking the trophy and getting a tag team title shot later on in the night!
Guerrero Cup Finals: The Miracle Violence Connection def. The Dark Circle (32:08) when Dr. Death pinned Storm with the Doctor Bomb
AFTERSTORY: It was an all-out brawl over the arena as both teams came close to victory. Near-falls and big moves all over the place but in the end Dr. Death was able to hit Tim Storm with his patented Doctor Bomb to score the pinfall and win the tournament. Doc & Gordy would now face LAX later in the night for the tag team championships!

PRESTORY: Last month's Team Angle vs Horsemen survival match was a wild one that saw Brian Pillman, the last entry to the Horsemen, break out as the shining star for his team. Pillman pinned Daniel Bryan to win the match for the Four Horsemen and after it was over, Bryan challenged Pillman to a rematch that would take place here tonight.
Brian Pillman def. Daniel Bryan (12:27) with a victory roll
AFTERSTORY: Pillman pins Bryan again as he caught him with a victory roll. While some say Pillman pulled the tights, he was quick to duck out of the ring and exit the area as the victor. On this night, Brian beat Bryan, but it is likely they willl meet again later this week in a Beat the Clock challenge to determine title contenders for each championship at Final Showdown

PRESTORY: In the Guerrero Cup's first round, Low Ki and Amazing Red gave quite the problem to Generation sXe tag team, Austin Aries and Shawn Michaels. They went at it for 30 minutes and some say the match contributed greatly to Aries and Shawn's 2nd round loss. Michaels and Aries demanded a rematch with Ki and Red to prove that they could beat them again, soundly and decisively.
Austin Aries & Shawn Michaels def. Low Ki & Amazing Red (14:44) when Shawn pinned Red after Sweet Chin Music
AFTERSTORY: Aries and Michaels did what they set out to do, they proved their point and defeated the opposition in half the time that it took last time around. Following the bout, group leader CM Punk arrived to the ring and joined his associates. Punk tossed Low Ki out of the ring and then hit Red with the Go to Sleep. Punk took to the mic and told the world that he would beat the clock and go on back to the top with the World Title at Final Showdown.

PRESTORY: The Beautiful People duo of Madison Rayne and Maryse continued their utter domination last month with an 8 woman tag victory for TBP over the Canadian Ninjas, Annie Social, and Melanie Cruise. Following the win, the tag champs deemed that no one was worthy of a title shot at Eve of Destruction so they would not defend the belts, they would however grant a non title match to Annie Social and Melanie Cruise.
Non Title Match: Madison Rayne & Maryse def. Annie Social & Melanie Cruise (23:37) when Maryse pinned Melanie after the French TKO Kick
AFTERSTORY: The Beautiful People do it again, they continue their winning ways even without their belts on the line. Social and Cruise are still newcomers to FPR and were impressive but it just wasn't enough to topple the top tag team in the women's division. Whomever challenges them next will have to beat the clock in order to do so.

PRESTORY: Back at Halloween Havoc was when the Boogeyman won the Chamber of Horrors to become #1 contender to Necro Butcher's hardcore deathmatch championship. Their rivalry began there and escalated later that night with a backstage brawl. From there it got even more heated with Survival of the Sickest featuring the two brawlers leading teams against one another. Boogeyman's team was victorious thanks largely in part to Tiger Jeet Singh, who served as Boogeyman's hired gun. Boogeyman and Necro would finally meet inside the deathmatch environment for the championship on this night, the Eve of Destruction!
Hardcore Deathmatch Championship Match: Necro Butcher def. The Boogeyman (10:12) with the tiger driver to RETAIN the championship!
AFTERSTORY: Necro was able to overcome his opponent after a wild brawl. Boogeyman didn't go down without a fight for sure and he will certainly be vying for another shot at Necro's belt. But for now, Necro was able to put down Boogeyman after two months of feuding.

PRESTORY: The rivalry between Beth Phoenix and Natalya started in the Cyber Saturday FYF battle royal, they went at it full force and quickly started a rivalry. The two met again in a fatal four way at Halloween Havoc and later were on opposite sides of the ring at Survival of the Sickest. At Eve of Destruction, Beth and Natalya were set to finally meet in the ring 1 on 1!
Beth Phoenix def. Natalya (16:35) after two consecutive muscle busters
AFTERSTORY: What a match it was between these two. Both gave it their all and it took a hell of a lot for Beth to finally put Natalya down. Natalya isn't going to go away though as this rivalry looks to continue in the coming week where Beth and Nat will both try and beat the clock for a title shot and if they aren't successful, it's likely they will meet again at Final Showdown.

PRESTORY: Earlier in the night, The Miracle-Violence Connection of Dr. Death Steve Williams and Terry Gordy won the sixth annual Guerrero Cup tag team tournament to earn a shot at tag team champions, LAX. Doc & Gordy had a hell of a fight already in the night and the title shot was now, so the question would be if they had enough left in the tank to overcome the champions
World Tag Team Championship Match: Latin American XChange def. The Miracle Violence Connection (24:28) when Homicide pinned Gordy after a yakuza kick to RETAIN the championships
*Gordy CRITICAL'd Hernandez (24:09) with a powerbomb
AFTERSTORY: Doc and Gordy came within an inch of becoming the new tag team champions! Gordy lifted Hernandez, who was not the legal man, and dropped him with a devastating powerbomb that CRITICAL'd him but as soon as he turned around he was met by a running kick to the face from Homicide. As that connected, The Dark Circle hopped the railing and pulled Dr. Death off the apron, preventing him from breaking up the pinfall. LAX retain the titles and the feud between the Dark Circle and Miracle Violence continues to heat up. LAX's next challenge will be up to whomever can beat the clock!

PRESTORY; After Rock, Cena, Taker, and Foley were able to overcome Muta, Sting, Kabuki, & Vampiro last month at Survival of the Sickest, Taker challenged Sting to a grudge match to take place at Eve of Destruction in what would be a rematch from Cyber Saturday. Taker came out to the ring for his match but instead of Sting, the Great Kabuki entered to be Taker's opponent instead. Taker was a bit confused but took on this challenge anyways.
The Undertaker def. The Great Kabuki (19:45) after the Last Ride
AFTERSTORY: A very back and forth competitive battle between Undertaker and Kabuki. Kabuki came closer than anyone thought that he could to defeating Undertaker but in the end Taker was able to catch him with the Last Ride that put Kabuki down.

PRESTORY: At Halloween Havoc, Ultimo Dragon was the first challenger to Rey Mysterio's newly won junior title. Mysterio was able to overcome Ultimo and pin him in that match. At Survival of the Sickest, Dragon returned the favor by pinning Mysterio in the eight man tag team bout. Tonight, Ultimo was able to pin AJ Styles to the mat which earned him once again #1 contendership. That match would take place here, Ultimo vs Rey once again!
Junior Championship Match: Ultimo Dragon def. Rey Mysterio (14:03) with a victory roll to become the NEW Champion!
AFTERSTORY: Second time was the charm for Ultimo as he was able to defeat Rey and win back the Junior Championship which he was unable to do at Halloween Havoc. It was an amazing match that saw one of the most incredible exchanges of near-falls around, in the closing minutes it seemed like every move resulted in a near fall from one of the two men. A great match that sees Ultimo victorious this time and if Rey wants a rematch next week, he'll have to beat the clock, otherwise he may be waiting in line.

PRESTORY: September saw the FPR debut of Daizee Haze, who tore through the competition and won the 2010 Queen's Cup. Since then, Daizee has remained unbeaten with the exception of being pinned in the 8 woman tag at Survival of the Sickest. At Halloween Havoc, Victoria won the women's championship and following SOTS, Daizee announced she would cash in her Queen's Cup victory to a title shot at Eve of Destruction!
Women's Championship Match: Victoria def. Daizee Haze (15:48) after a dropkick to RETAIN the championship!
AFTERSTORY: Victoria proved her championship win was no fluke as she became the first woman to pin Daizee Haze one on one. Daizee put up a major fight and took the champion to fifteen minutes before ultimately falling. Victoria has lots of women gunning for her championship and it will be interesting to see which one gets the title shot at Final Showdown.

PRESTORY: With their heroic victory at Survival of the Sickest, The Rock and John Cena believed they had trumped their rivals for good. And so, The Rock didn't have a clearcut #1 contender, he offered a title shot to John Cena to meet him in the ring in a battle of mutual respect. Rock knew that Cena never received his one on one title shot from winning the Road 2 GAB tournament in July, instead only competing in the 6 pack challenge. Cena gladly accepted the shot and the match was on! Rock and Cena entered the ring and prepared to lock up when the bell sounded, but before that could happen, The Great Muta and Sting came out from under the ring and assaulted both men! Muta and Sting beat down Rock and Cena as it appeared this explained why Sting did not show up to face the Undertaker because they must have had other plans. Referees and officials forced Muta and Sting back and got them out of the ring. When Rock and Cena were able to recover, they invited Muta and Sting to come back to the ring and meet them in a tag team match! Muta and Sting immediately accepted the challenge and the main event was now a tag team war!
Great Muta & Sting def. The Rock & John Cena (16:23) when Muta CRITICAL'd Cena with the Moonsault
AFTERSTORY: Finally after all these months, Muta has got one over on Cena. Both teams brawled with hatred raging but in the end, Muta came off the top rope and crushed Cena with his patented moonsault to secure the victory. Muta and Sting stood tall at the end of the night, feeling redeemed from their losses. After the show, Cena was helped to his feet and is rumored to have suffered an injury to his ribs, however Cena has stated he refuses to let the injury keep him from competing to beat the clock. Though he wont' be the only one trying to do so, because everyone wants the world title and many will want to be the one receiving the year's final title shot.

©FPR Eve of Destruction 2010. FPR's next event would be FPR Final Showdown 2010, the final show of the year where all title challengers would be determined by Beat the Clock challenges! Final Showdown would be just one week removed from Eve of Destruction.

FPR Final Showdown 2010
December 31, 2010
Theme Song: Capital Lights - "Out of Control"

PRESTORY: Last week at Eve of Destruction, CM Punk laid out Low Ki and Amazing Red following their loss to Aries and Michaels. They wanted revenge and so they made a challenge to a six man tag. Ki and Red teamed up with the man who beat CM Punk in a beat the clock match, Bret Hart! Bret's time would eventually be beaten so the six man tag was made to open Final Showdown.
6 Man Tag Team Match: CM Punk, Austin Aries, & Shawn Michaels def. Low Ki, Amazing Red, & Bret Hart (21:58) when Aries pinned Bret with a backdrop hold
AFTERSTORY: Generation sXe were victorious again as Punk feels redemption for his win over the man who he feels stopped his journey back to the top. While Aries and Michaels now hold their third victory over Low Ki and Amazing Red.

PRESTORY: Ayako Hamada was the star of her match at Survival of the Sickest where she teamed with Candice Michelle, Rayna Von Tash, and Ayumi Kurihara to take on four FPR newcomers. Hamada was responsible for all of her team's eliminations. Some of those newcomers wanted another shot at Hamada. Sassy Stephie, who was the only one that managed to get an elimination when she pinned Ayumi, took on Hamada in a beat the clock challenge but was unsuccessful. At Final Showdown, Mia Svennson steps up to take on Hamada!
Ayako Hamada def. Mia Svennson (8:42) with a backslide
AFTERSTORY: Another big victory for Hamada as she keeps on rolling. Hamada hopes to be getting back to title contention with several consecutive victories now.

PRESTORY: The International Championship beat the clock challenges saw many different wrestlers of many different styles attempt to beat the clock in hopes of a shot at the unbeatable champion, The Big Show. The time was first set by Bam Bam Bigelow, who beat Shane Douglas in a back and forth 16 minute match. It was no secret that time wouldn't stick, as the next matchup saw Takeshi Morishima defeat rival Spoiler 2000 in 13. Morishima almost held on but in the end it was Jake "The Snake" Roberts downing Paul Orndorff with the DDT in 9 minutes! Jake earned an international title shot to take place at Final Showdown where he'd face the Big Show.
International Championship Match: The Big Show def. Jake Roberts (7:35) after a lariat to RETAIN the championship!
AFTERSTORY: Big Show's been champ for well over a year for a reason. He seemingly can't be beat and dominates all of his opponents. He even beat Jake quicker than Jake beat the clock. Show is unstoppable!

PRESTORY: Continuing the Horsemen's rivalry with Kurt Angle and his Survival of the Sickest Team, Brian Pillman defeated Daniel Bryan at Eve of Destruction. Kurt Angle challenged Flair to meet him in the ring again, 1 on 1 in a lumberjack match. Flair agreed, with the Horsemen being lumberjacks while Angle would have the members of his SOTS team at ringside as well.
Lumberjack Match: Ric Flair def. Kurt Angle (38:15) with a backslide
AFTERSTORY: What an epic encounter this turned out to be! Both men refused to stay down despite numerous attempts at victory. Flair tried everything in the end but Angle kept kicking out until he finally couldn't any longer. A huge victory for Flair and the Horsemen as they keep on their winning ways ever since their reformation.

PRESTORY: At Survival of the Sickest, Dashing Cody Rhodes had a breakout performance where he shockingly overcame Stone Cold Steve Austin's team of Vader and the Road Warriors despite being down two team members. Stone Cold was pissed and he wanted Cody one on one in the ring. Cody made Austin wait until Final Showdown, but ultimately agreed to the bout.
Stone Cold Steve Austin def. Dashing Cody Rhodes (11:44) via Stunner CRITICAL
AFTERSTORY: Revenge in the biggest way possible for Stone Cold! A CRITICAL for Dashing Cody. Rhodes hung in with Austin for awhile but eventually fell prey to the Stunner.

PRESTORY: In the Octagon beat the clock challenge, nobody could score a first round victory and so Kevin Randleman's second round submission victory over Scot Summers stayed supreme until the end. Randleman had a big performance at Survival of the Sickest as a part of Bob Sapp's team and now he would oppose the team leader for a chance at the Octagon championship!
Octagon Championship Match: Bob Sapp def. Kevin Randleman via 1st Round KO (3:33) after a reverse powerbomb to RETAIN the championship!
AFTERSTORY: Bob Sapp once again is victorious and did what no one else could do to beat the clock. Sapp smashed Randleman in only the first round in just three minutes. Who will be the next to step up and be a real challenge to Sapp's grip on the title and the division?

PRESTORY: Madison Rayne and Maryse were very confident going into Final Showdown after a non-title victory at Eve of Destruction continued them racking up the wins. Annie Social and Melanie Cruise wanted another shot and they were up first to set the time but took over 30 minutes to defeat the Bella Twins. Jessica James and Athena surprised the Canadian Ninjas in 14 minutes next and held on until the very end when a new tandem of Marti Belle and the returning Jazz managed to defeat an impressive team of Megumi Kudo and Sumie Sakai in 13 minutes. Jazz and Belle would be a new test for The Beautiful People but would they be able to swoop in and take the gold?
Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Marti Belle & Jazz def. Madison Rayne & Maryse (28:51) when Belle pinned Maryse after Jazz put her on top
AFTERSTORY: Shocking upset! Madison and Maryse perhaps came in a bit overconfident as Jazz and Marti Belle hung in with them and managed to upset the dominant tag team champions in a rare loss. The Beautiful People looked to have it in the bag when Maryse hit the French Kiss on Marti and made the cover but Jazz was able to break up the pin attempt which led to Marti immediately going for the cover off Jazz's save and getting the 3 while Jazz had Madison tied up. The Beautiful People were obviously enraged after the match and have already demanded a rematch at the Royal Battle.

PRESTORY: AJ Styles & Julian Caesaro have been at each other's throats for months. They've traded wins back and forth several times and even cost each other beat the Clock challenges, while Caesaro also cost AJ at Eve of Destruction. The two were signed to compete in a match at Final Showdown in a look to close out their rivalry with the year. The match was made a 2/3 falls match to see who could come out the winner!
2/3 Falls Match: AJ Styles def. Julian Caesaro (15:54) 2-0
*Styles pinned Caesaro with the Styles Clash (12:19)
*Styles CRITICAL'd Caesaro with the Styles Clash (3:35)
AFTERSTORY: AJ Styles pulled out the victory and was surprisingly able to CRITICAL Julian in the second fall to end the match. AJ now looks to move past him and continue his chase of the FPR Junior Championship but it is for sure that Caesaro won't just fade away.

PRESTORY: The Hardcore Deathmatch divisions' beat the clock challenge almost saw Tiger Jeet Singh get a title shot with his 12 minute victory over Sabu. But in the end, Mr. Pogo was able to pin former hardcore champ, Abyss in 10 minutes to earn the title shot. It would be Pogo's second title shot and this time he would go up against Necro Butcher in the deathmatch ring!
Hardcore Deathmatch Championship Match: Mr. Pogo def. Necro Butcher (15:46) after a piledriver to become the NEW Champion!!
AFTERSTORY: Pogo has become the new champ! Largely considered an upset as he begins his first reign as champion. Necro gave it his all and will definitely be back for a rematch for the championship.

PRESTORY: The Junior championship beat the clock challenges were some exciting matches. Jushin Liger avenged past losses when he defeated Rey Mysterio in just 7 minutes. But in the end, Christopher Daniels was able to even beat that with a 6 minute win over Amazing Red. Daniels had not competed for FPR in over a year and made one hell of an impactful return with a win like that. A win that earned him a championship at new champion Ultimo Dragon.
Junior Championship Match: Christopher Daniels def. Ultimo Dragon (13:32) with a rolling prawn hold to become the NEW Champion!!
AFTERSTORY: Daniels with the upset! Ultimo's reign lasted only a week and Daniels comes out of nowhere to begin his first ever title reign. The FPR Junior division has definitely just had it's foundation shaken by The Fallen Angel! It will be interesting to see in the months to follow as many lay claim to title shots, rematches, etc.

PRESTORY: The rivalry between Beth Phoenix and Natalya has just continued to escalate in recent months. Beth was able to finally put her down at Eve of Destruction but Natalya wasn't through and she wanted a rematch. They met in a beat the clock challenge but just continued brawling until the time expired. Natalya challenged Beth to a rematch at Final Showdown to take place in a 15 foot high steel cage! Beth accepted, promising to finish off Natalya in the cage.
Steel Cage Match: Natalya def. Beth Phoenix (16:53) after a spinning backbreaker
AFTERSTORY: Natalya was able to overcome the Glamazon this time! Another great bout between these two hard-hitting women of FPR. Their score is now even at 1-1 but both will be looking to go after the women's championship whenever possible.

PRESTORY: The tag team beat the clock challenge saw a rematch of the Guerrero Cup finals as the Miracle-Violence Connection took on the Dark Circle. However this time Doc & Gordy dominated their opposition and won the match in 13 minutes to win the challenge. They proved that they wanted another shot at the titles, fully believing they had the champions beat last time around and they absolutely earned it. They would face LAX once more at Final Showdown!
World Tag Team Championship Match: Latin American Xchange def. The Miracle-Violence Connection (18:45) when Homicide pinned Gordy with the Cop Killa to RETAIN the championships!!
AFTERSTORY: LAX prevail once again, putting to rest the thoughts of a possible fluke victory last time around. This time they were able to defeat Doc & Gordy decisively and retain the gold. After the match, The Dark Circle returned again and brawled with the Miracle-Violence connection. The two teams brawled to the backstage area as it's obvious their rivalry is not done yet.

PRESTORY: The women's championship beat the clock challenge led to another rematch. Hamada went up first to set the clock until the time was beaten by Sara Del Rey. Much to Sara's chagrin though, her rival Daizee Haze beat the clock with a surprisingly quick victory over former champ, Alissa Flash in just 8 minutes. Daizee earned herself a rematch with champion, Victoria, after failing to become champ at Eve of Destruction. Would the second time be the charm for Haze?
Women's Championship Match: Victoria def. Daizee Haze (11:58) via Widow's Peak CRITICAL to RETAIN the championship!
AFTERSTORY: Surprisingly enough, Victoria was able to get the best of Daizee twice. This time leaving her laying with a brutal Widow's Peak. Victoria has been more dominant than ever with her recent string of wins as she continues her latest title reign.

PRESTORY: The World Championship beat the clock was a competitive battle that many were vying for. Many top stars competed as the time was first set at 13 by John Cena. Bret Hart managed to beat it with a 12 minute victory over CM Punk. Former champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin who was never able to gain a rematch when he lost the belt, gained an 11 minute victory to beat the clock only for the Undertaker to manage a win in 10. In the end it came down to a match of former partners turned bitter rivals, as Triple H pinned Shawn Michaels in just 9:30 to beat the clock and become the new number one contender for the world heavweight title! Triple H would challenge The Rock in the main event of the final showdown of 2010. Would the Game end his rollercoaster year on a high note or would The Rock continue the amazing streak he's been on since Cyber Saturday?
Worlds Heavyweight Championship Match: Triple H def. The Rock (19:20) after a series of punches to become the NEW Champion!!!
AFTERSTORY: Without a doubt, a surprising way to end the year! A great match put on by both men as Triple H has come seemingly from out of nowhere to take the championship from the Rock. With HHH now holding the title, he will have the target on his back of everyone vying for a shot at the top championship. After this match had concluded, Triple H and Rock both shook hands with Rock assuring the Game that he would be looking for a rematch come Royal Battle in January. It will certainly be interesting to see the direction things head now as Triple H is at the top of the mountain with Rock wanting a rematch, Cena still looking for his shot, Muta and his group stopping at nothing to reach the top, plus former champions Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin among others. And now we head on to the Royal Battle which will kickstart the road to WrestleMania 6!

©FPR Final Showdown 2010. Comments, questions, requests, and feedback of all sorts are accepted and appreciated as always. FPR's next PPV event will be the Royal Battle on January 29 where 8 men compete in a battle royal to determine the #1 contender for the World Title at WrestleMania VI!
