PRESTORY: Last month at the Summer Spectacular tag team tournament, The Hardyz defeated Robert Evans & Matt Palmer. They had a rematch at the Great American Bash, where Evans & Palmer avenged their loss and secured victory. This month, they were pit against each other in an eight man tag. The Hardyz joined up with Jiggle-O James Johnson & Julian Caesaro, a team that perhaps knows Evans & Palmer better than anyone. While their opposition joined forces with the tag team of Andy Dalton & The Brian Kendrick, who always remain a threat in the tag team division.
8 Man Tag Team Match: Robert Evans, Matt Palmer, Andy Dalton, & The Brian Kendrick def. Julian Caesaro, Jiggle-O James Johnson, & The Hardyz (19:44) when Evans pinned Caesaro after a lariat
AFTERSTORY: Evans scored the surprise pinfall in the midst of a large brawl in the ring and his team were quick to escape from the ring victorious. Evans managed to pin Caesaro, leaving their score with the Hardyz seemingly unsettled.
PRESTORY: Last month, many people believed Bill Goldberg would finally end the Big Show's reign as international champion. Show has held the belt now for 10 months. FPR didn't have a number one contender, so anyone was invited to step up and challenge the Big Show.
International Championship Match: The Big Show def. Bryan Danielson (13:05) with a running elbow drop to RETAIN the title
AFTERSTORY: Bryan Danielson put up a huge fight, he came close, but in the end it was like the rest of Show's victims...just not enough.
PRESTORY: At the Great American Bash, Jamilia Craft made her FPR debut in an 8 woman battle royal. Craft impressed everyone in attendance as she lasted until the final three, scoring several pinfalls including eliminating former FPR Women's Champion, the Angel of Mercy, Claudia. That didn't set well with Claudia, who always manages to remain a force in the division. Claudia challenged Craft to meet her in the ring, one on one.

AFTERSTORY: An exciting back and forth battle saw Claudia use her experience edge to defeat the young up and comer. Craft dominated the early-goings, coming at Claudia with a barrage of offense, one move after another but Claudia fought back. Craft looked to secure the win with a top rope cross body but Claudia again survived. Claudia caught Craft off an irish whip with a cross body of her own for the win. It was another very impressive showing from Craft, who is certainly here to stay, but Claudia was just too much of a challenge at this point. Both women have entered into the second annual, FPR Queen's Cup, which will take place in two weeks time.
PRESTORY: Last month, Bob Sapp annihilated Mirko CroCop, so FPR gave the next shot to the then-#2 contender, Don Frye.
Octagon Championship Match: Bob Sapp def. Don Frye via 2nd Round KO (2:04) after a reverse powerbomb (7:04)
AFTERSTORY: Frye put up a fight, lasted a round but Sapp remains dominant. Sapp has lost a few times over the past year, but each time he just comes back stronger. Can anyone stop The Beast for good?
AFTERSTORY: In the Road 2 GAB Tournament, Ric Flair cheated his way to victory over several opponents, most notably Kurt Angle. Angle didn't forget that and got his hands on Flair in a triple threat match at the Great American Bash. Angle chose to finish off Yoshinari Ogawa in that match, leaving Flair open to a one on one match that would take place here at Final Burns!

AFTERSTORY: Flair tried to use his dirty tactis again, from eye pokes to chokeholds to biting that caused Angle to bleed. Angle just kept coming and tossed Flair around the ring with several suplexes. Angle ended things effectively with the Angle Slam and his hot streak continues. Following the match, Angle announced that next month, he will challenge The Big Show for the FPR International Championship! Angle hopes to capitalize on the momentum he has now to carry him into championship gold.
PRESTORY: Last month, Mick Foley was finally defeated for the hardcore deathmatch title. Perhaps, Foley's open invitational for anyone to step up into the division finally caught up to him as Abdullah the Butcher became new champion. Foley would invoke his rematch clause at Final Burns.
Hardcore Deathmatch Championship Match: Abdullah the Butcher def. Mick Foley (14:47) with the running elbow drop to RETAIN the title
AFTERSTORY: Abdullah proved his win was no fluke as he has defeated Foley a second time. Foley will look to move on from the title while we look to find out who Abdullah will defend against next.
PRESTORY: In the Road 2 GAB tournament, Takeshi Morishima defeated Spoiler 2000. Spoiler thought for sure that tournament was his to win but it was not to be. Spoiler challenged Morishima to a rematch at the Great American Bash where he was victorious. After the match however, Spoiler was attacked from behind by Bison Smith. Bison and Morishima seemed to form some sort of alliance as they beatdown Spoiler. In the weeks that followed, Spoiler recovered and challenged Bison to take him on in the ring, one on one.

AFTERSTORY: Another successful victory for Spoiler! Spoiler now overcame both his rivals in back to back months. Like last month, Spoiler was again attacked, this time by Morishima. Morishima and Bison double-teamed Spoiler until Jakob Furis ran out for the save! An unlikely aid to say the least, as Spoiler was Chris Jericho's hired gun to take out Furis not long ago. But it seems things have changed. Furis and Spoiler will team up for the first time to take on Bison & Morishima next month at The Ultimate Encounter!
PRESTORY: Brian Pillman has been a dominant junior champion since winning the belt at WrestleMania. At Bloodlines, he beat Rey Mysterio to retain the title and after that match, AJ Styles beatdown Mysterio. Rey had beaten AJ in a contenders match to get that shot. Last month at the Great American Bash, AJ backed up his words and defeated Rey in a match. AJ's dominance was impressive and earned him the title shot at Pillman at Final Burns.
Junior Championship Match: Brian Pillman def. AJ Styles (15:17) with a backslide to RETAIN the championship
AFTERSTORY: Pillman does it again! A back and forth competitive battle, AJ gave it his all. Pillman caught him off-guard with a backslide, something AJ tried earlier in the match, to win and retain his title. Pillman will be ready though as it has been confirmed that next month, Jushin Liger will return to the junior division looking to reclaim the title of the division he once dominated!
PRESTORY: The Beautiful People tandem of Madison Rayne and Maryse have been at odds with Candice Michelle and Ayako Hamada for several months now. At the Great American Bash, The Beautiful People scored the upset and defeated Candice and Hamada. Since then, they have proclaimed themselves the unofficial FPR women's tag team champions as they believe they are the best team. This month at Final Burns, the tag team feud has been split into singles matches.

AFTERSTORY: Hamada and Candice sweep the Beautiful People in singles this month! Both great battles but in the end, Candice & Hamada both got a little bit of payback. It's safe to say this feud will be continuing as the Beautiful People never let things go that easily.
PRESTORY: Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger have regained their early-year momentum as of late and last month, they capped things off with a dominant, impressive victory over 8 time former tag team champions, and 2009 tag team of the year, The Briscoes. Their win streak was something that could not be overlooked and they were granted a title shot against the reigning champions, LAX
World Tag Team Championship Match: The Latin American XChange def. Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger (9:52) when Homicide CRITICAL'd Swagger with the Gringo Killer to RETAIN the championships

AFTERSTORY: An exciting, action-packed brawl with a wild ending! Swagger and Ziggler were nearly tag team champions as Swagger lifted Hernandez up, Homicide managed to tag himself in, Swagger completed the Gutwrench Powerbomb with a CRITICAL on Hernandez. Hernandez was no longer legal, which allowed Homicide to sneak in from behind and drill Swagger with the Gringo Killer and CRITICAL him right back to retain the tag team titles in an unbelievable sequence.
PRESTORY: The rivalry between Angelina Love and Victoria is well-documented dating back to late last year. Most recently, in June, Victoria defeated Angelina at Bloodlines after their attempt at a tag team failed. Last month at the Great American Bash, Angelina managed to eliminate Victoria en route to the final two of the battle. However, Victoria would return at the match's end to cost Angelina the match, distracting her which led to Lacey Von Erich's victory. Angelina was irate and challenged Victoria to a rematch once again at Final Burns.

AFTERSTORY: Another tough battle between these two sees Victoria come out victorious again. Angelina almost had the match won when she managed to pop up from the Widow's Peak with a burst of adrenaline and dropped Victoria with her Lights Out finisher. However both women were hurt and couldn't capitalize. Victoria went on to win the match and stand tall in the end. Angelina, we know is still not satisfied and it remains to be seen if there will be one more rematch.
PRESTORY: Last month's Road 2 GAB finals saw John Cena overcome The Great Muta. Muta was hoping to get another shot at the title after failing in his money in the bank cash in. Muta didn't let things go and destroyed Cena after the match, making him bleed badly and brutalizing him. When Cena recovered, he waived the title shot he won in order to get Muta back in the ring. A street fight was signed between the two that had become huge enemies. Cena got his revenge and beat Muta in the street fight. However the feud wasn't quite over as Muta was in disbelief that Cena still had his number. A rematch was signed this time under I Quit rules!
I Quit Match: John Cena def. The Great Muta (22:52) with the STF
AFTERSTORY: Cena prevails again! Muta threw everything he had at Cena, re-opening his previous cuts, blinding him with mist, stabbing him with a fork and more. But Cena kept on giving as much as he was receiving. The two battled on for over twenty minutes in a true war. In the end, Cena locked Muta in the STF for the win. Cena triumphs over Muta one more time!
PRESTORY: At the Great American Bash, Lacey Von Erich shocked the world when she came out the winner of the eight woman battle royal. Lacey's win, no matter how it came about, was no doubt impressive. Later that night, Alissa Flash won back the FPR Women's Championship from Jessica James. Jessica and Alissa' series wasn't over but Lacey had to be considered a contender as well. It was decided that Alissa would defend it in a triple threat match against former champ, Jessica James, and number one contender, Lacey Von Erich!
Women's Championship Match: Jessica James def. Alissa Flash & Lacey Von Erich (11:17) when she pinned Alissa after the scorpion kick to become the NEW Champion!
AFTERSTORY: Jessica managed to come out on top! Several times it looked like all three had their chance to win the match. Lacey got busted open early on and was almost finished early but she kept fighting. In the end, Alissa looked to have the match won and she pinned Lacey but Jessica caught her with the scorpion kick from behind, out of nowhere. Jessica then made the pin on Alissa and became the champion once again! Alissa will be wanting her rematch ASAP but Lacey can also claim that she was not pinned.
PRESTORY: And so the stage was set for the showdown in the main event. A rematch from the main event of last year's Cyber Saturday. Reigning worlds heavyweight champion, Hulk Hogan, defending his championship against the 2010 King of the Ring, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Last month at Great American Bash, Hogan led his team into War Games. They were unsuccessful in their war against Generation sXe. And at the end of the night, Stone Cold cleared house to remind everyone just who would be getting the next world title shot. That night ended with Austin and Hogan having brief eye contact as both men knew what they were headed into. Stone Cold vs Hulkamania, the Stunner vs the Leg Drop, all on the line for the FPR Worlds Heavyweight title!
Worlds Heavyweight Championship Match: Stone Cold Steve Austin def. Hulk Hogan (15:52) after the Stone Cold Stunner to become the NEW Champion!!
AFTERSTORY: Four stunners later, Stone Cold Steve Austin has become FPR Worlds Heavyweight Champion for the first time! Austin's KOTR win and year-long battles have paid off. This match was a brutal war that saw neither man willing to give up and both men trying their hardest. The match lived up to it's hype and may have matched his predecessor that the fans voted for last year. Their score against one another now lies at 1-1 with Austin now holding the gold. After the match concluded, both men remained down. Austin began stirring first after he was handed the world championship, hearing his music blare through the arena. But before long, Generation sXe arrived on the scene! Punk, Michaels, and Aries entered the ring and began to beatdown the new champion. The group had remained quiet all night, seemingly biding their time since winning last month's War Games but they made their statement here. They soon began beating down Hogan as well as Austin. Until Triple H & Bret Hart came running down to even the odds. Bret and the Game took Aries and Michaels through the ropes and out the ring as the brawl continued. Punk remained in the ring and mounted Hogan with punches. The Great Muta then arrived out of nowhere and attacked Stone Cold! Not far behind him was John Cena, who as soon as he saw Muta get involved, was right on his tail! Cena and Muta's war from earlier continued on here. Punk looked to lift up Hogan for the Go to Sleep but suddenly, Mick Foley rolled into the ring and applied the Mandible Claw on Punk! Stone Cold got back to his feet and has soon has he got to a vertical base, he looked ahead and dropped Foley with the Stone Cold Stunner! Austin looked to go after Punk next but Punk rolled out of the ring still in pain from the mandible claw. Punk avoided the stunner as he did last month but also like last month, Stone Cold stood tall again! Glass Shatters hit once again as Austin raised his newly won worlds heavyweight championship admist all the chaos. The Austin Era has begun and what will happen next!?

PRESTORY: For the last two years an eight woman battle royal has been featured at the Great American Bash. In 2008, Angelina Love debuted and won the match in impressive fashion. Last year, Angelina made lightning strike twice against even heavier competition. This year eight women would again enter the battle, so in the build-up we took a look at all eight competitors.
Angelina Love: Angelina has won both previous Great American Bash battle royals and has entered a third one to continue that streak. Angelina has had her recent problems with Victoria, a rivalry that led to a short-term partnership that seemingly has led back to the initial rivalry with the roles somewhat reversed. Angelina hoped to come out with her third GAB victory and lead to a potential future title shot.
Athena: Athena entered the battle royal in hopes of making a name for herself. She has been impressive in all her outings in FPR thus far and she entered the match looking for the biggest win of her career.
Claudia: The Angel of Mercy is a former women's champion and recently lost a number one contenders match against Jessica James. Claudia entered the battle royal looking to once again move towards the women's championship that she once held.
Jamilia Craft: Jamilia Craft would be making her FPR debut here in this match. Craft has a huge opportunity to have the most impressive of debuts. Craft hopes to have the same luck that Angelina Love did when she debuted two years ago.
Lacey Von Erich: Some call it luck, some say it's skill. Regardless, Lacey Von Erich has managed to almost always come up with impressive wins. She went undefeated for four months until finally being defeated by "Best in the World" Candice Michelle at WrestleMania. Lacey bounced back and defeated Candice and Hamada in a 3 way two months ago, now she looked for the ultimate in impressive victories.
Maria Menounos: Most recently, Menounos was the number one contender involved in a several month long feud with then-champion, Alissa Flash. Menounos entered the battle royal looking to reclaim her spot near the top of the rankings.
Michelle McCool: Michelle McCool was involved in the GAB battle royal two years ago and came up short. McCool has stuck around in FPR but has been unable to find her niche. Here, she looked to finally make that impact and shoot straight to the top of the division.
Victoria: Upon hearing of Angelina Love's entry into the battle, Victoria claimed the last spot. After her team with Angelina Love seemingly imploded a few months ago, they went one on one last month where Victoria came out with the victory. At the Great American Bash, they would meet again this time in the battle royal.
8 Woman Battle Royal: Lacey Von Erich def. Athena, Michelle McCool, Victoria, Maria Menounos, Claudia, Jamilia Craft, & Angelina Love (24:49)

AFTERSTORY: Once again, Lacey Von Erich has done the impossible! Nobody figured Lacey would actually be able to pull out the win but she has done it. Lacey bided her time and snuck in near the end for what many could once again see has luck in the case of the right place, right time. Jamilia Craft was extremely impressive in her debut with the first two eliminations. A pivotal point in the match saw a huge collision take place with Angelina landing on top of Victoria to eliminate her primary rival. Claudia eliminated Menounos and Craft picked up a huge pinfall on the former women's champion. In the end, Lacey, who had been sneaking around the ring for the match's majority, watched Craft and Angelina battle it out. Angelina hit Craft with a devastating snap suplex, Lacey ran in and placed her foot on Craft for the elimination and then as Angelina recovered, Victoria returned to ringside. Lacey was quick to capitalize on the distraction and rolled up Angelina for the shocking victory. Angelina had come so close to pulling off an incredible three straight years but her dream was sabotaged. Lacey Von Erich's unbelievable streak of major victories continues as she picks up potentially the biggest of her career thus far. Angelina was in disbelief knowing she just about had the match won. Her rivalry with Victoria looks to continue as Lacey will be celebrating her victory for some time.
PRESTORY: Last month, Rey Mysterio defeated AJ Styles in a number one contenders match to win a Junior title match against Brian Pillman at Bloodlines. Pillman defeated Mysterio to retain and as the match concluded, Styles attacked Mysterio from behind and beat him down. Mysterio challenged Styles to a rematch to take place at the Great American Bash, which Styles accepted, looking to prove Mysterio's last win was a fluke.

AFTERSTORY: AJ was dominant and was definitely out with something to prove. Styles gains a big win here over Mysterio that could catapult him to become the next number one contender to the Junior title.
PRESTORY: In the Summer Spectacular tag team tournament earlier this month, Kevin Douglas debuted alongside JT Lamotta forming a new tag team. In the first round, they were defeated by the Dark Circle. The Dark Circle went on to the semi finals but Lamotta & Douglas wanted a rematch and that's what they got at the Great American Bash!

AFTERSTORY: A good showing by both teams but in the end result remained the same. Apocalypse & Tim Storm are on a bit of a hot streak as of late.
PRESTORY: On the Summer Sizzler tour leading up to the Great American Bash, a mini-series of three Octagon matches were held to determine a #1 contender to Bob Sapp's title. Mirko CroCop defeated both Fedor Emelianenko and former Octagon champ, Brock Lesnar to earn a shot at the title.
Octagon Championship Match: Bob Sapp def. Mirko CroCop via 1st Round KO (3:44) with a german suplex to RETAIN the championship
PRESTORY: Spoiler 2000 had an impressive showing in the Road 2 GAB tournament, advancing into the third round before he was ultimately stopped by Takeshi Morishima. Morishima went on to lose in the semi-finals and Spoiler wanted a rematch to avenge his loss against the man that stopped him from winning the tournament.

AFTERSTORY: A hard fought battle that was very back and forth saw Spoiler manage to pull out the win. Both men gave it everything they had but in the end Spoiler made Morishima bleed and submit to the claw hold. After the match, Bison Smith arrived and attacked Spoiler! Smith, who dominated last month's battle royal and was equally impressive in the Road 2 GAB tournament, seems to be taking out his frustrations at his loss on Spoiler. That or he's forming some sort of alliance with Morishima. Nonetheless, Spoiler will be wanting to get Bison in the ring, a potential claw vs claw match looks to be in the future!
PRESTORY: Jiggle-O James Johnson & Julian Caesaro did good in the Summer Spectacular tournament but lost to the eventual winners. Their showing earned them a spot on the card so they were paired with Jakob Furis in a six man tag. A team was formed to oppose them in Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, and The Miz!
6 Man Tag Team Match: Jiggle-O James Johnson, Julian Caesaro, & Jakob Furis def. Dashing Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, & The Miz (26:45) when Furis pinned Cody after a neckbreaker
PRESTORY: Round three of the Summer Spectacular saw The Hardyz defeat Simply Irresistible in a match that went thirty minutes! It was a classic tag team battle that the Hardyz won to advance on to the eventual finals. Evans & Palmer were dominant prior to that match, so of course they wanted another shot at the Hardyz.

AFTERSTORY: This time, they won the rematch! The two teams are now 1-1 when it comes to facing each other and this match was equally as fast paced and exciting as their first encounter.
PRESTORY: Brian Pillman has been dominating the Junior division since winning the title at WrestleMania, defeating everyone who came at him. After his win over Rey Mysterio last month, in the weeks that followed, Evan Bourne sent out a challenge to the champion. Pillman accepted and Bourne looked to become champion for the first time!
Junior Championship Match: Brian Pillman def. Evan Bourne (12:50) with a high cross body to RETAIN the championship!
AFTERSTORY: Pillman retains again but this was his toughest match to date. Bourne came at him with everything he had and garnered more near-falls than we can count. It looked for sure like Bourne would win the title but Pillman managed to pull off the win and retain his title. At this point, many are wondering who will be able to take the title from Pillman. Rumors are circulating that Jushin Liger may be returning to the junior division soon..perhaps he will be the next challenger?
PRESTORY: One of the most impressive teams in the Summer Spectacular tournament was Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger. The team that ended DX at WrestleMania seemed to be trying to put it all together since then and it seemed like they finally had in the tournament. Ziggler & Swagger gained two major victories over Lex Luger & Sting and The Outsiders before being defeated by the eventual winners of the tournament, Team 3D. However, Ziggler & Swagger's victories were enough that they decided their next move would be to challenge the tag team that many consider the best in FPR, former 8 time tag team champions, The Briscoes!

AFTERSTORY: Ziggler & Swagger continue to top their previous victories! And to say The Briscoes have been in a slump since losing the tag team titles would be an understatement. Ziggler and Swagger defeated arguably the best team in FPR and not only that, they did so in relatively quick and dominant fashion with a CRITICAL finish. Ziggler & Swagger definitely have to be in consideration for a tag team title shot.
PRESTORY: Ever since Mick Foley invited all comers to take him on for the hardcore deathmatch title, he's been under fire all the time. First he managed to overcome Tiger Jeet Singh, then was quickly attacked by Mr. Pogo. Foley got the best of Pogo and defeated him too. This month, Abdullah the Butcher has stepped up to challenge Foley in the deathmatch ring!
Hardcore Deathmatch Championship Match: Abdullah the Butcher def. Mick Foley (9:27) with the running elbow drop to become the NEW champion!
AFTERSTORY: Foley must have finally had too much. Abdullah battered him with weapons until he dropped the elbow to finally end Foley's great title reign. Foley took on everyone but now Abdullah will have to do the same.
PRESTORY: In the Road 2 GAB tournament, Ric Flair seemed hellbent on winning the tournament to get a title shot against Hogan. He defeated both Kurt Angle and Yoshinari Ogawa in the tournament but eventually lost in the semi-finals. Angle accused Flair of cheating and he wanted a rematch. Ogawa, who was choked out by Flair, wanted another shot as well as last year he was the tournament winner. Angle welcomed the addition to a three way as he still had it in for Ogawa, who beat him in the Road 2 GAB Finals last year.
Triple Threat Match: Kurt Angle def. Ric Flair & Yoshinari Ogawa (18:23) when he forced Ogawa to submit to repeated knee strikes
AFTERSTORY: Angle was an absolute monster in the match here and took it to both Ogawa and Flair. In the end, Angle had both men down and it was up to him to decide which one he was going to finish off. He chose Ogawa, opting for the revenge from last year rather than Flair from this year. Angle looked dominant and is undoubtedly very pleased with his victory.
PRESTORY: Stone Cold Steve Austin and Chris Jericho's rivalry began at the end of last year and has only escalated since. Ever since Austin won the King of the Ring tournament, Jericho has been doing whatever he could to take him down. Jericho challenged him to a match back in May which he lost, falling prey to the Stunner. Jericho was out of action after that, so he sent Spoiler 2000 to take down Stone Cold, but he too was defeated. Jericho wouldn't give up though and was continuing to do whatever it took to stop Stone Cold. Earlier this month, Jericho officially made the challenge to put his career on the line against Stone Cold, with Austin putting up his KOTR title shot for next month on the line. Austin accepted and the match was made. Austin's Shot vs Jericho's career!

AFTERSTORY: Chris Jericho's career has ended at the hands of a Stone Cold CRITICAL! Jericho gave it absolutely everything he had, locking in the Walls of Jericho multiple times including outside the ring, launching Austin from the top rope, using a steel chair, but it just wasn't enough. Austin's been unstoppable since winning KOTR and now he has it set in stone for certain that he will be challenging Hulk Hogan for the FPR Worlds Heavyweight Championship next month at Final Burns in what will be a rematch of last year's Cyber Saturday main event! Last time, the fans voted for it and this time Austin's fought for it. Jericho received an ovation for his efforts and we have to wonder if we'll ever see Chris Jericho in FPR again.
PRESTORY: Three months ago at Redemption, Madison Rayne & Maryse scored what many considered an upset victory over Angelina Love & Victoria. It was indeed a huge win for them and they met in a rematch two weeks later. The Beautiful People proved it was no fluke and defeated Love & Victoria again in a match twice as long as their first. Since then, The Beautiful People have considered themselves FPR's greatest women's tag team. At Bloodlines, they were challenged by a strong tag team of Ayako Hamada and "Best in the World" Candice Michelle. Candice & Hamada beat Madison & Maryse albeit in controversial fashion as Maryse seemingly broke up the pin as the 3 count was counted. The match was awarded to Candice and Hamada, which of course sparked complaints from The Beautiful People. A rematch challenge was quickly accepted and they were set for the Great American Bash!

AFTERSTORY: Shockingly enough, The Beautiful People reign supreme! A very great match saw action inside and outside the ring. Madison and Maryse were always there when one of them was pinned, constantly making the save. Hamada and Candice delivered several big moves but The Beautiful People managed to time everything just right. Maryse nailed Candice with the French Kiss right as Hamada lifted Madison in the air with a spiral powerbomb and Maryse scored the pinfall. Madison and Maryse have been riding high after their win as this coupled with Lacey's huge win earlier in the night made the Bash a great night for them. Maryse & Madison have been calling themselves the unofficial women's tag team champions of FPR after defeating Hamada & Candice.
PRESTORY: At WrestleMania, Bill Goldberg won the showcase battle royal by pinning Mike Foxx. After that, The Faithful went after Goldberg but that has since changed to Goldberg going after the Faithful! After 'Mania, they took Goldberg out and Foxx took his spot in the King of the Ring tournament. Goldberg returned at Redemption and tore through Foxx. Last month he destroyed Hardcore Holly and later that night speared The Big Show to make his intentions known that he was coming for Show next - and his international championship as well!

AFTERSTORY: Big Show's dominance might not be able to be stopped! Goldberg definitely gave him a run for his money though. Goldberg came close on numerous occasions to taking the title but Big Show managed to put a stop to Goldberg's run through the Faithful.
PRESTORY: The Latin American XChange's latest reign as tag team champions has been more dominant than ever. In May, they became the first reigning champions to win the entire Real World Tag League and they defended the belts successfully against The Briscoes in that same night! With 3 wins that night, they took a month off that they earned by winning the league. Meanwhile the Summer Spectacular tournament took place to determine who would get the next shot at LAX. Team 3D won the tournament and looked to become tag champions once again!
World Tag Team Championship Match: The Latin American XChange def. Team 3D (17:38) when Homicide pinned Devon with a sitout DVD to RETAIN the championships!
AFTERSTORY: LAX's dominance continued and their month off must have only helped them and not hindered their performance at all. 3D may have won the tournament but they don't win the titles here.
PRESTORY: Last month, The Great Muta cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Hulk Hogan, moments after Hogan won a grueling Last Man Standing match against CM Punk. Hogan managed to go another fifteen minutes and overcome Muta's attempt. Hulkamania ran wild and there was no doubt that Muta was furious that he lost his chance. Muta went backstage and trashed his locker room until being somewhat calmed down by The Great Kabuki, Gary Hart, and FPR officials. At the beginning of the month, the fifth annual Road 2 GAB tournament took place and Muta entered it hoping to win the tournament so that he could get another shot at Hogan. Muta went all the way, just as he set out to do and made it to the finals of the tournament. However it was there in the finals that he met John Cena one on one. Cena defeated Muta and won the Road 2 GAB Tournament! Cena, a former FPR Worlds Champion, had a chance to once again become champion but as soon as he begun celebrating his tournament victory, Muta ambushed him from behind with a steel chair. Muta assaulted Cena , bloodied him and beat him down, leaving him laying in a pool of his own blood. Cena was stretchered out that night and when he recovered, he only wanted one thing and that was Muta in the ring. Cena agreed to waive his title shot that he won in the tournament to get to Muta! So the match was set for the Great American Bash in a street fight, no rules, there must be a winner!

AFTERSTORY: Cena managed to get his ultimate revenge but it was not without a fight! These two went at it with pure hatred as Muta reopened the previous cuts on Cena's head. Cena fought back valiantly and dropped Muta with the Attitude Adjustment with blood dripping from his head as he found his way to victory! Cena has overcome The Great Muta and now perhaps he will refocus on the world championship again.
PRESTORY: Jessica James has had a very impressive road to the top and a quick one at that. Jessica got the best of Claudia in their feud that began several months ago, ultimately defeating her in a 2/3 falls match to become #1 contender. Last month at Bloodlines, Jessica surprised everyone when she won the women's title from Alissa Flash. Alissa was certainly caught off guard by Jessica's challenge and tonight was her rematch.

AFTERSTORY: Alissa takes back the belt from Jessica in a hard fought battle. Jessica surprised everyone last month when she won the belt and Alissa made sure her reign was a short one. Jessica will surely be looking for another shot though as this feud progresses over the women's championship.
PRESTORY: All year, CM Punk has been after Hulk Hogan and the worlds heavyweight championship. After Punk won the Royal Battle in January, he re-formed Generation sXe with Austin Aries and Shawn Michaels as they secured that Punk won the championship at WrestleMania from Hogan. Along the way, they made several enemies, most notably Bret Hart, who Aries helped Punk defeat at Valentine's Massacre and Triple H, who was betrayed when DX was forced to disband only for Michaels to rejoin Punk and Aries later that night. Hogan, Bret, and Triple H would join together to defeat Generation sXe in a six man tag at Breakout following Punk's win at Mania. That six man victory ensured that Hogan would receive his rematch at Redemption in May. Hogan won back the title there and Punk's rematch took place in a Last Man Standing bout last month at Bloodlines. Hogan was once again victorious but Punk and his group were not going to go down lightly or without a major fight. The challenge was made for War Games to take place at the Great American Bash! Hogan, Hart, and Triple H aligned with Bret's longtime ally, Samoa Joe to complete their team while Punk hired a masked man to team up with Generation sXe.
(MAIN EVENT) War Games Match: CM Punk, Austin Aries, Shawn Michaels, & Masked Man def. Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Triple H, & Samoa Joe (24:07) when Michaels forced Bret to submit!
AFTERSTORY: It was truly a war inside the steel cage and admist all the chaos, Generation sXe managed to sneak out the victory! A very brutal battle until the very end which saw Michaels lock Bret in a steel cage assisted figure four leglock which forced the surrender and gained the victory. The fighting continued after the match as Generation sXe took full control and eventually stood tall in the ring. Punk began celebrating to a chorus of boos. Aries was dripping blood since early on in the match after being slammed into the steel. As they continued the beatdown, glass shattered and Stone Cold Steve Austin arrived! Punk quickly bailed from the ring and Shawn was behind him. Austin entered the cage there after and caught a hold of the masked man, delivering the Stone Cold Stunner! Aries was trapped in the ring and began scaling the cage but Austin caught a hold of him and pulled him down to deliver another Stunner! Stone Cold stood tall in the ring making sure nobody forgets that next month he's got the title shot. As Hogan began to recover, he and Austin made brief eye contact, acknowledging one another as the show came to a close.

PRESTORY: For the last two years an eight woman battle royal has been featured at the Great American Bash. In 2008, Angelina Love debuted and won the match in impressive fashion. Last year, Angelina made lightning strike twice against even heavier competition. This year eight women would again enter the battle, so in the build-up we took a look at all eight competitors.
Angelina Love: Angelina has won both previous Great American Bash battle royals and has entered a third one to continue that streak. Angelina has had her recent problems with Victoria, a rivalry that led to a short-term partnership that seemingly has led back to the initial rivalry with the roles somewhat reversed. Angelina hoped to come out with her third GAB victory and lead to a potential future title shot.
Athena: Athena entered the battle royal in hopes of making a name for herself. She has been impressive in all her outings in FPR thus far and she entered the match looking for the biggest win of her career.
Claudia: The Angel of Mercy is a former women's champion and recently lost a number one contenders match against Jessica James. Claudia entered the battle royal looking to once again move towards the women's championship that she once held.
Jamilia Craft: Jamilia Craft would be making her FPR debut here in this match. Craft has a huge opportunity to have the most impressive of debuts. Craft hopes to have the same luck that Angelina Love did when she debuted two years ago.
Lacey Von Erich: Some call it luck, some say it's skill. Regardless, Lacey Von Erich has managed to almost always come up with impressive wins. She went undefeated for four months until finally being defeated by "Best in the World" Candice Michelle at WrestleMania. Lacey bounced back and defeated Candice and Hamada in a 3 way two months ago, now she looked for the ultimate in impressive victories.
Maria Menounos: Most recently, Menounos was the number one contender involved in a several month long feud with then-champion, Alissa Flash. Menounos entered the battle royal looking to reclaim her spot near the top of the rankings.
Michelle McCool: Michelle McCool was involved in the GAB battle royal two years ago and came up short. McCool has stuck around in FPR but has been unable to find her niche. Here, she looked to finally make that impact and shoot straight to the top of the division.
Victoria: Upon hearing of Angelina Love's entry into the battle, Victoria claimed the last spot. After her team with Angelina Love seemingly imploded a few months ago, they went one on one last month where Victoria came out with the victory. At the Great American Bash, they would meet again this time in the battle royal.

AFTERSTORY: Once again, Lacey Von Erich has done the impossible! Nobody figured Lacey would actually be able to pull out the win but she has done it. Lacey bided her time and snuck in near the end for what many could once again see has luck in the case of the right place, right time. Jamilia Craft was extremely impressive in her debut with the first two eliminations. A pivotal point in the match saw a huge collision take place with Angelina landing on top of Victoria to eliminate her primary rival. Claudia eliminated Menounos and Craft picked up a huge pinfall on the former women's champion. In the end, Lacey, who had been sneaking around the ring for the match's majority, watched Craft and Angelina battle it out. Angelina hit Craft with a devastating snap suplex, Lacey ran in and placed her foot on Craft for the elimination and then as Angelina recovered, Victoria returned to ringside. Lacey was quick to capitalize on the distraction and rolled up Angelina for the shocking victory. Angelina had come so close to pulling off an incredible three straight years but her dream was sabotaged. Lacey Von Erich's unbelievable streak of major victories continues as she picks up potentially the biggest of her career thus far. Angelina was in disbelief knowing she just about had the match won. Her rivalry with Victoria looks to continue as Lacey will be celebrating her victory for some time.
PRESTORY: Last month, Rey Mysterio defeated AJ Styles in a number one contenders match to win a Junior title match against Brian Pillman at Bloodlines. Pillman defeated Mysterio to retain and as the match concluded, Styles attacked Mysterio from behind and beat him down. Mysterio challenged Styles to a rematch to take place at the Great American Bash, which Styles accepted, looking to prove Mysterio's last win was a fluke.

AFTERSTORY: AJ was dominant and was definitely out with something to prove. Styles gains a big win here over Mysterio that could catapult him to become the next number one contender to the Junior title.
PRESTORY: In the Summer Spectacular tag team tournament earlier this month, Kevin Douglas debuted alongside JT Lamotta forming a new tag team. In the first round, they were defeated by the Dark Circle. The Dark Circle went on to the semi finals but Lamotta & Douglas wanted a rematch and that's what they got at the Great American Bash!

PRESTORY: On the Summer Sizzler tour leading up to the Great American Bash, a mini-series of three Octagon matches were held to determine a #1 contender to Bob Sapp's title. Mirko CroCop defeated both Fedor Emelianenko and former Octagon champ, Brock Lesnar to earn a shot at the title.
Octagon Championship Match: Bob Sapp def. Mirko CroCop via 1st Round KO (3:44) with a german suplex to RETAIN the championship
PRESTORY: Spoiler 2000 had an impressive showing in the Road 2 GAB tournament, advancing into the third round before he was ultimately stopped by Takeshi Morishima. Morishima went on to lose in the semi-finals and Spoiler wanted a rematch to avenge his loss against the man that stopped him from winning the tournament.

AFTERSTORY: A hard fought battle that was very back and forth saw Spoiler manage to pull out the win. Both men gave it everything they had but in the end Spoiler made Morishima bleed and submit to the claw hold. After the match, Bison Smith arrived and attacked Spoiler! Smith, who dominated last month's battle royal and was equally impressive in the Road 2 GAB tournament, seems to be taking out his frustrations at his loss on Spoiler. That or he's forming some sort of alliance with Morishima. Nonetheless, Spoiler will be wanting to get Bison in the ring, a potential claw vs claw match looks to be in the future!
PRESTORY: Jiggle-O James Johnson & Julian Caesaro did good in the Summer Spectacular tournament but lost to the eventual winners. Their showing earned them a spot on the card so they were paired with Jakob Furis in a six man tag. A team was formed to oppose them in Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, and The Miz!

PRESTORY: Round three of the Summer Spectacular saw The Hardyz defeat Simply Irresistible in a match that went thirty minutes! It was a classic tag team battle that the Hardyz won to advance on to the eventual finals. Evans & Palmer were dominant prior to that match, so of course they wanted another shot at the Hardyz.

AFTERSTORY: This time, they won the rematch! The two teams are now 1-1 when it comes to facing each other and this match was equally as fast paced and exciting as their first encounter.
PRESTORY: Brian Pillman has been dominating the Junior division since winning the title at WrestleMania, defeating everyone who came at him. After his win over Rey Mysterio last month, in the weeks that followed, Evan Bourne sent out a challenge to the champion. Pillman accepted and Bourne looked to become champion for the first time!

AFTERSTORY: Pillman retains again but this was his toughest match to date. Bourne came at him with everything he had and garnered more near-falls than we can count. It looked for sure like Bourne would win the title but Pillman managed to pull off the win and retain his title. At this point, many are wondering who will be able to take the title from Pillman. Rumors are circulating that Jushin Liger may be returning to the junior division soon..perhaps he will be the next challenger?
PRESTORY: One of the most impressive teams in the Summer Spectacular tournament was Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger. The team that ended DX at WrestleMania seemed to be trying to put it all together since then and it seemed like they finally had in the tournament. Ziggler & Swagger gained two major victories over Lex Luger & Sting and The Outsiders before being defeated by the eventual winners of the tournament, Team 3D. However, Ziggler & Swagger's victories were enough that they decided their next move would be to challenge the tag team that many consider the best in FPR, former 8 time tag team champions, The Briscoes!

AFTERSTORY: Ziggler & Swagger continue to top their previous victories! And to say The Briscoes have been in a slump since losing the tag team titles would be an understatement. Ziggler and Swagger defeated arguably the best team in FPR and not only that, they did so in relatively quick and dominant fashion with a CRITICAL finish. Ziggler & Swagger definitely have to be in consideration for a tag team title shot.
PRESTORY: Ever since Mick Foley invited all comers to take him on for the hardcore deathmatch title, he's been under fire all the time. First he managed to overcome Tiger Jeet Singh, then was quickly attacked by Mr. Pogo. Foley got the best of Pogo and defeated him too. This month, Abdullah the Butcher has stepped up to challenge Foley in the deathmatch ring!
Hardcore Deathmatch Championship Match: Abdullah the Butcher def. Mick Foley (9:27) with the running elbow drop to become the NEW champion!
AFTERSTORY: Foley must have finally had too much. Abdullah battered him with weapons until he dropped the elbow to finally end Foley's great title reign. Foley took on everyone but now Abdullah will have to do the same.
PRESTORY: In the Road 2 GAB tournament, Ric Flair seemed hellbent on winning the tournament to get a title shot against Hogan. He defeated both Kurt Angle and Yoshinari Ogawa in the tournament but eventually lost in the semi-finals. Angle accused Flair of cheating and he wanted a rematch. Ogawa, who was choked out by Flair, wanted another shot as well as last year he was the tournament winner. Angle welcomed the addition to a three way as he still had it in for Ogawa, who beat him in the Road 2 GAB Finals last year.

Hogan managed to go another fifteen minutes and overcome Muta's attempt. Hulkamania ran wild and there was no doubt that Muta was furious that he lost his chance. Muta went backstage and trashed his locker room until being somewhat calmed down by The Great Kabuki, Gary Hart, and FPR officials. At the beginning of the month, the fifth annual Road 2 GAB tournament took place and Muta entered it hoping to win the tournament so that he could get another shot at Hogan. Muta went all the way, just as he set out to do and made it to the finals of the tournament. However it was there in the finals that he met John Cena one on one. Cena defeated Muta and won the Road 2 GAB Tournament! Cena, a former FPR Worlds Champion, had a chance to once again become champion but as soon as he begun celebrating his tournament victory, Muta ambushed him from behind with a steel chair. Muta assaulted Cena , bloodied him and beat him down, leaving him laying in a pool of his own blood. Cena was stretchered out that night and when he recovered, he only wanted one thing and that was Muta in the ring. Cena agreed to waive his title shot that he won in the tournament to get to Muta! So the match was set for the Great American Bash in a street fight, no rules, there must be a winner!

AFTERSTORY: Cena managed to get his ultimate revenge but it was not without a fight! These two went at it with pure hatred as Muta reopened the previous cuts on Cena's head. Cena fought back valiantly and dropped Muta with the Attitude Adjustment with blood dripping from his head as he found his way to victory! Cena has overcome The Great Muta and now perhaps he will refocus on the world championship again.
PRESTORY: Jessica James has had a very impressive road to the top and a quick one at that. Jessica got the best of Claudia in their feud that began several months ago, ultimately defeating her in a 2/3 falls match to become #1 contender. Last month at Bloodlines, Jessica surprised everyone when she won the women's title from Alissa Flash. Alissa was certainly caught off guard by Jessica's challenge and tonight was her rematch.
Women's Championship Match: Alissa Flash def. Jessica James (9:53) after a russian leg sweep to become the NEW Champion!
AFTERSTORY: Alissa takes back the belt from Jessica in a hard fought battle. Jessica surprised everyone last month when she won the belt and Alissa made sure her reign was a short one. Jessica will surely be looking for another shot though as this feud progresses over the women's championship.
PRESTORY: All year, CM Punk has been after Hulk Hogan and the worlds heavyweight championship. After Punk won the Royal Battle in January, he re-formed Generation sXe with Austin Aries and Shawn Michaels as they secured that Punk won the championship at WrestleMania from Hogan. Along the way, they made several enemies, most notably Bret Hart, who Aries helped Punk defeat at Valentine's Massacre and Triple H, who was betrayed when DX was forced to disband only for Michaels to rejoin Punk and Aries later that night. Hogan, Bret, and Triple H would join together to defeat Generation sXe in a six man tag at Breakout following Punk's win at Mania. That six man victory ensured that Hogan would receive his rematch at Redemption in May. Hogan won back the title there and Punk's rematch took place in a Last Man Standing bout last month at Bloodlines. Hogan was once again victorious but Punk and his group were not going to go down lightly or without a major fight. The challenge was made for War Games to take place at the Great American Bash! Hogan, Hart, and Triple H aligned with Bret's longtime ally, Samoa Joe to complete their team while Punk hired a masked man to team up with Generation sXe.
(MAIN EVENT) War Games Match: CM Punk, Austin Aries, Shawn Michaels, & Masked Man def. Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Triple H, & Samoa Joe (24:07) when Michaels forced Bret to submit!
AFTERSTORY: It was truly a war inside the steel cage and admist all the chaos, Generation sXe managed to sneak out the victory! A very brutal battle until the very end which saw Michaels lock Bret in a steel cage assisted figure four leglock which forced the surrender and gained the victory. The fighting continued after the match as Generation sXe took full control and eventually stood tall in the ring. Punk began celebrating to a chorus of boos. Aries was dripping blood since early on in the match after being slammed into the steel. As they continued the beatdown, glass shattered and Stone Cold Steve Austin arrived! Punk quickly bailed from the ring and Shawn was behind him. Austin entered the cage there after and caught a hold of the masked man, delivering the Stone Cold Stunner! Aries was trapped in the ring and began scaling the cage but Austin caught a hold of him and pulled him down to deliver another Stunner! Stone Cold stood tall in the ring making sure nobody forgets that next month he's got the title shot. As Hogan began to recover, he and Austin made brief eye contact, acknowledging one another as the show came to a close.
